Stila Holiday 2008 – Let it shine! Let it Shine! Let it Shine!

September 25, 2008 Paris B 11 Comments

Goodness! With a tagline for the holiday season that says Let it shine! one would be expecting loads of shimmer and glitter in the collection right? Wrong! Stila’s Holiday 2008 offerings may say Let it shine, but they are anything but super shimmery and glittery!

Here’s a sneak preview of what to expect for Stila Holiday 2008. Expect the Stila Holiday collection to be available in Malaysia in November 2008 just in time for the holiday season 🙂

Stila Shine On Gift of Glaze lip glaze set

This is a set of 6 mini lip glazes which feature two new Lip Glaze shades – Raisin and Gumdrop – as well as all-time favorites Vanilla, Apricot, Grapefruit and Brown Sugar. I was surprised to rather like the Stila Lip Glaze if you read my earlier review and this being mini sized, it would be perfect as a gift! The price is yet to be confirmed but in previous years retailed for RM120. I’m guessing it might be about RM150 or RM180 this time.

Stila Shine and Eyes Smudge Pot Trio

This set of 3 Stila Smudge Pots come packaged in a set with an eyeliner brush. The smudge pots can be used as gel eyeliner or smudged for a lovely smokey look. The set of 3 comes in black, grey and bronze – All the colours you need to create a sultry sexy look for holiday parties. Price is not yet confirmed at this time.

Stila Step Out & Shine Color Collection & Handbag

Now you can own Stila makeup and an exclusive limited edition Stila silver clutch! The clutch comes with the new Pomegranate Crush Lip and Cheek Stain and deluxe travel sizes of Multi-Effect Mascara, All Over Shimmer and full size limited edition Convertible Color in Orchid. Price is yet to be confirmed. I’m eyeing the clutch to be honest! It looks so pretty!

These are the official Stila Holiday 2008 Limited Edition products. From October 2008 onwards there will be also some new talking palettes released for eyes and lips. I’ll showcase them separately in an upcoming post. We’ll probably get them some time in November together with the Holiday collection so for us here in Malaysia, there will be a much bigger selection for the Stila Holiday 2008!

Let it Shine! 🙂

Whoa, that recording palette sounds so gimmicky and COOL ;-D
And I’m really curious about their smudge pots-have you tried them?
Looking forward to reading your reviews on each of ’em. 🙂

@Nikki : I have no idea why Stila skipped the Phillippines. I reckon it’ll do big there! I’ll check them out when it gets here. Not so enamoured with yet another talking palette but maybe there are people who like it.

Monstro: Definitely gimmicky but it makes such a personal gift eh? Wonder if one can record OVER the recording? That’ll provide endless hours of fun lol… I haven’t tried the smudge pots. Never really felt like trying them.

@rinnah : Its to give you time to save up for it! 😉

Smiley: Yes I remember and as I said before,I don’t own any RMK at this time so I cannot do a review on it. Perhaps if I ever get one I’ll bear you in mind. Thanks.

Irenelim: You think so? I thought they were pretty tame stuff despite the season name!

I went to the stila workshop event at Pavillion last Sat. They did a demo on the xmas sets, really tempting I say. The Lip Glaze set is rm120 (they decided to stick with last year’s price). The recording palette isn’t that great. You can really hear what you record unless u put it close to your ear. I recorded hello, and when i hear it, i don’t sound like hello. Not very clear. It’s rm209 which I think is really expensive compare to the website price. Why is stila in Malaysia so expensive with no promotions? I am salivating at stilacosmetics.com they have so much promo and the price is cheaper than Malaysia! sigh..sad. Wish I was in the states.
