New: Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – An Elixir!

February 19, 2010 Paris B 8 Comments

I don’t think this is out here yet. Its just come out on the Kiehl’s website so I’m expecting it to hit our shores only in a couple of months.

Whilst I was intrigued by the Acai Berry range of products, I’m absolutely fascinated by this new Midnight Recovery Concentrate! I think its the word “elixir” on the bottle. It makes the serum sound so exotic and magical. A serum of youth does not have the same magical sound as the Elixir of Youth yes? 🙂

In line with the new Kiehl’s products, this item is paraben free. Just 2 drops promises you visibly restored skin by morning. Dayem! This looks like something I should be looking into!

Key ingredients are evening primrose oil, lavender essential oil and squalene. Currently, it retails in the USA for US$42 a 30ml bottle. Ouchies! But not quite as ouch as a similar sort of product I’m currently using so I’m dying to see if it performs a similar function.

I’m going to wait for the Muse to tell us about her experience. But I just know I’m going to get a bottle once it gets here. Elixir! Its that magical word 😀

Are you as intrigued by this as I am? 😀

I’ll bring you more when I know more!

    hey you!

Thanks for the link love! So far it’s good. it’s giving my skin a nice satiny feel! But I’m wondering how oily skin types or those with larger pores will react to it. It seems rich even though the consistency is very thin, curious if anyone will experience congested pores after use with it. My skin is so dry it’s literally sucking this stuff down but not sure about oily skin users.

If you want it from here let me know…$42 USD so unsure how much it’ll be once it hits your shores, might be worth waiting as with airmail prob set you back more 😛

Thanks for the offer but i’d probably wait till it appears here 😀 I don’t have very oily skin so I’d probably lap it all up as you will! It will be interesting to know how the oily skinned girls fare with this one. Thanks for stopping by!

started using this product about a month ago. I moved to the UK and the hard water wreaked havoc on my skin and hair! My skin was totally dry, flaky, and was starting to look damaged. My skin is usually oily and its never been this dry before; even the oily parts of my face had a dull, dry layer. I really wanted to cry some days because i was so ashamed and embarrassed of my skin. My make up wouldn’t go on correctly…
    I digress.
I had tried everything from olive oil to expensive, high end “barrier repairs” when I happened on this serum. I figured, “Why not?” I cannot tell you how pleased I am. I feel like my skin has reinvented itself! This product is like little, silky, sweet-smelling drops of heaven for your face.

I just bought this yesterday from the Kiehl’s counter in Isetan (the other stores will have it by next month). It’s retailing here in Malaysia for RM200 – yes, it’s pricey, but you only need 2-3 drops each time.
I used it last night, a little bit worried that it would totally make my skin oily, since I have combination skin that leans towards being oily. I didn’t need to be worried! It’s an absolutely amazing product – smells wonderful, specially for before bedtime, and my skin today is smooth and less irritated.
Will come back with another mini review once I’ve used it for a week (altho I might not use it every night, maybe every second night?).
