Has your makeup preferences changed post-pandemic? I’m rekindling my enjoyment for wearing makeup

Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, when we were forced to stay indoors, I’d ditched any semblance of wearing makeup. Why bother, when you won’t be going out, or wearing a mask. It felt like a waste of time and effort (and in many ways, it was).

When restrictions lifted and life began going back to normal, I still balked at wearing makeup. My lifestyle had changed. I was spending more times outdoors, less time being social, and wearing masks all the time. This hasn’t changed in over 3 years, and realistically I don’t expect it to change very much going forward.

But over the last few months, I’ve had the occasion to put on some makeup for social events, and I have to say that I’ve actually found it fun! 😀

I am a big big fan of May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon, and this jar of blue balm made me wonder if it was similar in some way (at a fraction of the price!) 🙂

I promised myself I’d get back on the bandwagon quickly this year, and get cracking with blogging as the year gets off to a start. Writing and offering my opinions on products I’ve tried, or just talking into the ether is something I’ve been doing for over 15 years, and realistically, I don’t think I’ll be stopping just yet 🙂

I however failed in this resolution, because life decided to come at me hard and fast in the form of rebuilding my little business and to bring it back to life. Still, everything needs hard work, so that’s something I’ll take as part and parcel of learning and growing 🙂

While I don’t make resolutions, I do try to have a little mantra to live by for the year. For this year, there are 2 – to be a little more focused and disciplined, and to be kind.
