Shiseido Makeup Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio โ GD804 Opera
Everytime I see the word Opera I think โThe Phantom of the Operaโ. Lame but Iโm not kidding ๐
GD804 (GD = Gold in Japanese makeup code) is called Opera because it was inspired by Shiseido makeup artist Dick Pageโs visit to Paris where he was inspired to create this palette when he saw the contrast of the gold and bronze of the Paris Operaโs roof against the blue sky.
I must confess that Iโm not quite sure where to place what yet so Iโm just staring at it for now. Do you have ideas?
Iโll be experimenting and Iโll bring you the results of the experimentation soon. It promises to be interesting ๐
But if you have any idea how I might be able to use this palette, do share your ideas. Iโm always open ๐

looks pastel to me and goes well with a sweet floral dress be it white, yellow or blue.
ParisB says
The โproblemโ is the blue. Its a bit too pastel for me. But you are right about wearing it with a pretty dress ๐

Yellow e/s strikes fear in my heart as Iโm not sure how to use it. I have seen some really gorgeous looks done by some gurus to pull off some bold looks. The other two colors are more workable. Not much help ๐

LOL I felt the same way about yellow eyeshadow. The only one yellow I own is by Shu Uemura and it looks AMAZING with green eyeshadow! Iโd have paired the yellow and khaki and been left wondering about the blue hmmโฆ

Nice coloursโฆ! Just depends on how pigmented they are now ๐
ParisB says
Yup gearing up for that now ๐
Hanny says
Blue on the lid, and mix the gold and the black, put it in the crease ^.^
ParisB says
Thanks will give that a go ๐
Connie De Alwis says
Hmmmโฆ maybe the blue on the inner lid, yellow on outer and brown in crease and outer corner? Or another way I like to make a pastel color work is by applying it on my lower lash line but blend it with a dark color closer to the lash roots. Thatโs not cheating, right? :p
ParisB says
Will take the guruโs advice! ๐ I was thinking yellow inner and blue outer but was afraid itโd make me lid look puffy. Well will test it out a few times and see how it goes ๐
masterofboots says
Iโll probably use the brighter colours as sheer washes over the whole lids, the the darker one as liner. But yellow is always doubtful ๐
ParisB says
Thanks! The yellow and blue is a bit of a strange mix eh? ๐

This palette is selling well in SG! I donโt have it but I think that greyed brown would be beautiful for a soft smoky eye paired with the blue to blend it out. ๐
ParisB says
Thanks for the tip Mag! ๐

This is a beautiful palette. The bronze goes well with the gold. And I did some EOTDs on how to incorporate the blueโฆ.do take a look. ๐

Thanks!

interesting color combination. Would love to see how you put them.

Thatโs a lovely palette and the color combination is interesting. Iโd use the yellow on the inner lid, blue on the outer lid and the other shade on the crease.
