Boxing Day – the day after Christmas

December 26, 2008 Paris B 8 Comments

I’m supposed to be back at work but I’m still lazing away. Jingle bells are still in the air and I’m ambitiously cooking a slap up post-Christmas meal this weekend when my family visits! Fun? Definitely! 😛 So, lots of planning and grocery shopping to be done.

So, what did you get for Christmas? I got a whole bunch of useful things from various friends. I had great fun opening up presents which I’d never expected to get and thinking “Aww… its so cute!” and “Oh, its so me!” at every gift I unwrapped. 😀

I didn’t quite plan on a big purchase, but I did get myself something for Christmas as a personal reward – A Celine Boogie bag! Woohoo! 😀

Celine Denim Boogie

The design is from 2007and I got it for a very good price at a recent sale. I’ve always lusted after the Celine Boogie bag but the leather versions are about RM5xxx and up and at that sort of prices, I’d be gunning for a Chanel 2.55. So, denim it had to be. I’m still in the honeymoon phase, where everything’s rosy and perfect but I’m sure I’ll have my grouses soon enough – the main one being how vulnerable it must be toting around a bag that is open to prying hands. Still, its looking good for now. 🙂

Hope you had a good Christmas and a good holiday break!

@Monstro : Ooh I did some research on diaper bags a while back for a friend. Let me dig up the info yes? Stylish diaper bags – no frumpy mommy – a girl after my own heart 😉

Ha, here in the US we don’t really have a boxing day — dec 26th is for after-xmas sales. Although due to our recent economic crisis I don’t know how much cheaper stuff can get. Supposedly a lot of businesses didn’t make it out of the red this year. Still, I do wish I could re-gift some of the pajamas my husband got me :p

Why is it that the best gifts we always give ourselves? This year I treated myself to a “Best of Perricone MD” kit, with all the various super-powered creams and natural chemicals I need to make my face forget that it’s been worn down by two children. Didn’t buy it until today, though, since everything at the perriconemd .com website is now 25% off. The Boogie bag is an excellent buy, as well.

Thanks for your tips and reviews…it’s nice to know that someone halfway around the world has similar tastes. 🙂 Happy Holidays.

@Kelly : Thanks for visiting and yes I must agree that we give ourselves the best treats. Perhaps its because we know ourselves best! Happy holidays and thank you for reading 🙂

Yep, I did the same thing too… gifted myself a new 2.5in portable hard disc drive with 320GB of space. Hehehe.

Do we get to see the end result of your weekend cooking later?

    Merry Christmas Paris!

Yep, I agree with all. The best gifts are always those we give ourselves. but hubby also got me 2 gift sets from Estee Lauder that I wanted so much. And this year, an additional gift from you too 😉 -from your Giveaway. Muaks!
Now I have a whole new large lot of make up for the new year and also Chinese New Year.

Oh yeah, my gifts for myself are whole big lot of Boots No7 and Boots Mediterranean and Amazon Forest.

Happy New Year to you, Paris, and to all your readers.

Does the bag have a zip to close it?

    My christmas gift for myself:
    > a packet of epsom salts from guardian [oh…. my skin felt so smooth after scrubbing…]
    > 2 music albums bought online.
*Add them together and they cost less than S$19!!!*

Brilliant purchase! I got myself something on Boxing Day too, which I’ll post later.

    PS: It’s also a bag :p
