In our hot hot weather, I like wearing sleeveless tops but I hate strapless bras. I have never found a strapless bra to like. If they hold up, it leaves me breathless… and not in a good way. If I can breathe in it, I risk it slipping down and giving the impression of droopy boobs. Nope. Never found a strapless bra to love.
So when I came across Uniqlo bra tops (on sale!) I picked up a few to try. And then I picked up a few more. Because these bra tops are idiot proof!
No more tacky bra straps showing when you wear a spaghetti strap top or sleeveless top; no more strapless bras making their way down to your waist. Just pull them on and go!
For the uninitiated, these are T-shirt tops with bra cups built in like in swimsuits. I’ve seen them in spaghetti strap tops and sleeveless tanks. It also comes in dresses, but the dresses do tend to look a bit dowdy. I am tempted by the maxi dresses though I’d wait till they go on sale 😛
It comes in a few designs and I picked up a few because they were on sale, and because I thought they’d come in super useful when travelling. Pack a few of these bra tops and you have one less item to pack i.e. your bra which can squish and go out of shape. When worn, I was surprised that it gives a good line and decent enough support for your boobies without squishing them flat as a sports bra would. That said, I’m not a size C and up so I can’t tell how larger boobs will fare in these tops. For small cup gals, it gives us a nice lift and a bit of illusion of having nice sized perky boobies. Hidden benefit 😛
The Uniqlo bra tops retail here for something like RM69.90 or RM79.90 but they were on sale for RM39.90 about 3 weeks ago. Its worth worth picking up a couple on sale, but even if not, its worth picking up at least one. They work well under corporate suit jackets, or cardigans for work; and on weekends with jeans or shorts or skirts. Did I mention they give amazing line? 😉
I might have to go and check if there are any other designs in my size. These things are addictive! 😛
