Revlon Matte Blush Perfectly Peach 003 is quite perfect for me!

I think I’m growing up.

Big revelation coming before a birthday but yes, I think I’m growing up! I’m turning away from products with high shimmer and am now going for more subtle textures and even *gasp* matte!

revlon matte blush perfectly peach

My previous experiences with matte blushes weren’t very successful as they tend to be hard or chalky or powdery. But if the Revlon Matte line has a winning product, its their Matte blushes. Mine is in Perfectly Peach a matte (doh!) light peach-pink shade.

The blush comes in a surprisingly thick plastic case with a window in the cover so you can see the colour inside. The reason for the thickness is because a mirror is hidden under the blush – press on the button pictured and it pops out.

Personally I don’t use the little mirrors that come with products and especially not when applying blush so I did not quite see why packaging should have been compromised (I felt it was compromised as thinner packaging would have been preferable) However, I do know some people find these little mirrors useful or they might not be fussed about a few extra cm added to the thickness of the case.

Product wise you get a lot of product which is good. I like blushes that come in wide shapes – its easier to swipe your brush across a wide area than a narrow one and you also have better distribution of powder.

I will say one thing – the Revlon Matte blushes are not super pigmented. If you like products that throw up colour immediately when your brush touches the powder, you will be disappointed with the Revlon Matte blushes.

However I find that layering the product helps the colour show up better than a splotch of colour on your skin. Also, testing with your fingers is quite deceptive. It took me a bit of rubbing with my finger to produce this swatch of colour below. With a brush, I use 2-3 layers and I get a nice peach flush that isn’t overdone. It also lasts all day on me – granted I do not have oily skin.

Revlon Matte Blush in Perfectly Peach is a light warm peach shade with a hint of pink. Beetrice has likened this to Benefit Georgia but I find Georgia more peach and way more sheer. However, if you are familiar with Nars Orgasm, I’d say this is a close enough shade but matte.

The shade is not very warm so I’d say most people should be able to wear this colour. However it is rather light so if you have medium-dark skin tones, then you might not be able to get it to show up except as a highlight. There are other darker shades available in this line though.

So yes, I like the Revlon Matte blushes. They may be matte but they aren’t chalky or powdery.

Using a matte blush is useful when I have shimmer on my eyes or a strong lip colour. I sometimes add a touch of highlighter using the Diorskin Rose Diamond shimmer and I’ve found that using this Revlon Perfectly Peach blush over Guerlain Meteorites is truly magical! There is no discernable shimmer yet there is a subtle highlight and colour – never have I looked more awake while feeling more sleepy! :P

The Revlon Matte blushes come in 4 shades and retail at all Revlon counters for RM42.

Pros: Subtle colour, Not to strongly pigmented, Nice when layered, Affordable

Cons: Packaging is a bit bulky, Some might find it too light

The Revlon Matte collection has been out for a while so you might have seen or tried the matte blushes already – what are your thoughts? I now want Rose Rapture and Blushing Berry – help! :P

Stay beautiful,

Paris B

I always loves my revlon blush. Even though I have lots of hi-end brand blushes, Revlon always be my everyday blush. I love the color payoff, the texture and it quiet lasting too.

PB! I love matte blushes more and you turned the lemming button on!!! I love Revlon blush packaging! I own the Desert Rose blush (regular matte line) and its not as pigmented as I wanted it to be, looks like this is better!

Hi Nikki

Hehe… Actually this peach shade may not be as pigmented as you might want. Perhaps check it out first to see if it suits you. Otherwise there is another rose shade available.

i love sheer blush which is just enough to give me a healthy subtle glow. i can’t pull off with pigmented blush as it will make me look like monkey’s bum bum or clown. thanks for the review paris! definitely will get my hands on this!

have a great day! =)

Hi Melissa

You made me laugh at your comment hehe… I like my strong colored blushes too but they are a lot of work. Sheer blushes have their advantages :) Hope you like it!

Hiya prettybeautiful,

Ya having to swatch a few times can really bug me too. I find it works better with a brush – it picks up the colour more easily than my fingers can!

personally, i don’t really particular on shimmer or matte blush because they all look the same to me.. I’m such a nerd, can’t tell whether it’s a shimmer or matte blush on my skin… hahahaha… but i think Revlon came out with decent matte products. I’ve bought their matte eyeshadow in Peach… quite satisfied with the texture although I found it a bit hard & chalky initially…

Hiya Synaesthesia

LOL… some shimmer blushes can be really spot on bling! but yes Revlon’s matte products were surprisingly decent. I found their eyeshadow a little light but it works.

Hi bubbles

Aww… that’s a pity. I guess its not a colour many people would look to buy locally.

Hiya Aiyu

Pink Peony sounds like a gorgeous colour! You can get Perfectly Peach at all Revlon counters under the Revlon Matte collection (not the regular line)

That’s a very pretty blush, a good alternative to Benefit blushes.

Hi Jamilla

Yep! They are just as sheer without the shimmer

I shall go check this out, but hmm you did say that it’s pretty light, and I do prefer pigmented ones. Oh well, a trip to the drugstore is a must for me then! :P

Hiya Tine

Yep best to check it out in person to see if you like the sheerness of it.

Oooh! I have this and it’s gorgeous! even on my tanned skin it looks subtle and yet fresh. Blends well too. But since I don’t really fancy matte cheeks, I usually layer glow powder over it.

Hi Connie. Just wondering what glow powder you use over the matte blushes. Thanks:)

With this particular blush and other orangey/coral colors, I used MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Refined. Depends on the base color of my blush

Hiya Connie

Me too! I always have a bit of shimmer powder or something over or under this blush – helps it pop better :)

That looks like Benefit Dandelion which is my staple, everyday blush. :D

Love it. Many compliments when I wear it.

This looks good too.

Hi Shay

Its peacher than Dandelion and has no shimmer but otherwise its a good everyday blush :)

This is such a pretty color! I rarely wear matte blush but you made me curious to try this one. And I like that’s it not too pigmented. I have very pale skin and pigmented blushes always make me look like a clown!

Hi Gio

I think you should get it in Europe too – do let us know what you think of it :)

Matt stuffs are good! try more of them! ;D
I don’t use the built-in mirrors. I have bad eyesight, so I use only magnifying mirrors in decent sizes…not those miniatures they put in.
The color is nice BTW =)
