What are you spending money on these days? Has your spending habits changed over time?

2020 has turned out to be an interesting year not just for me, but for most people I know, and the world at large. If there’s one thing I can say about how the year has progressed, it’s that we have been forced to evaluate or re-evaluate our choices and connections.

One of the bigger reevaluations I’ve done is on personal finances and spending.

It isn’t to say of course, that I’m only thinking about this now. Personal finance and spending is something I’ve been thinking about since I made the decision to slow down in my working life a year or so back.

With a slow-down at work, naturally, I had to expect a slow-down in income earned. With that in mind, I adjusted my spending accordingly.

But even then, 2020 clearly had different plans, for many plans and projects were shelved, my income has certainly been impacted, and my spending pattern has changed again.

So, I’m curious. With everything that’s happening in the world today, has your spending changed? If it has, how and what are you spending more on lately?

The Skinlex 2% Alpha-Arbutin Serum did an impressive job at lightening my hyperpigmentation and I’m pretty amazed!

I’m not sure how I came about the Skinlex 2% Alpha-Arbutin Serum. It’s not a brand I’m familiar with, nor an ingredient I’m used to using.

Yet, one day while browsing Worthee Cosmetics, I conveniently added it to my shopping basket, ordered it, and promptly forgot about it.

Until now.

I took it out to use, but there was something about it that didn’t sit well with me, so it was a product I wasn’t very regular with. And then, we went into lockdown, and I went on a mission to use up my skincare.

And when I ran out of my most recent Vitamin C serum, I decided to use the Skinlex 2% Alpha-Arbutin Serum up, before hopping along to a new Vitamin C serum.

Well, let’s just say that I’m pretty impressed by this nondescript little bottle! 😀

I pick the Jo Malone Amber & Lavender Cologne for days when I want to smell shower-fresh

I shared some time last year some thoughts on fragrances and how your preferences might change over the years, as your preferences and lifestyle changes. Mine has.

But there’s one scent that I discovered via a sample a little while ago, and fell in love with, that I still love today.

That scent is the Jo Malone Amber & Lavender cologne.

When I shared it on Instagram, a few people asked me how it smelled, and I realised then, that I had not shared about it on the blog. It helps when I do, because I can then direct people to read about it haha! 😛

Yes, you can still wear lipstick under a facial mask!

Now that wearing a face mask has become the ‘new normal’, I’ve come across many people bemoaning the fact that there is no more point to wearing lipstick, or any lip colour.

For one, it’s covered by your mask, so what’s the point?

Second, lip colours will transfer onto your mask, and it smears and makes a mess.

But you know what? I still wear lip colours, especially lipstick. I feel naked and unfinished without a slick of lip colour, so let me tell you how I manage, and the types of finishes I pick to avoid smearing 🙂
