It is such a pretty sparkly colour.<strong> Star Ruby<\/strong> is its name. Actually it says Star Ruby Sparkle, because its one of the more sparkly glosses. I like the slim tube and the cap with the EL logo on it. Tom Pechaux has done a lot to make Estee Lauder makeup more modern and current!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The applicator is a straight sponge tip applicator that is quite pliable. It reminds me of the ones used in the <a title=\"Bursting with Colour : Revlon ColourBurst Lipgloss in Strawberry\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/2011\/03\/bursting-with-colour-revlon-colourburst-lipgloss-in-strawberry\/\" target=\"_blank\">Revlon Colorburst lipglosses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7378\" title=\"el_pure_color_gloss3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss3.jpg\" alt=\"estee lauder pure color star ruby\" width=\"530\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss3.jpg 530w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss3-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Such a pretty sparkly red in the tube, but on the skin&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7377\" title=\"el_pure_color_gloss2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss2.jpg\" alt=\"pure color gloss star ruby\" width=\"530\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss2.jpg 530w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss2-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Gloss Star Ruby Sparkle swatches<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Meh&#8230; where&#8217;s the colour! I am a little disappointed that the Estee Lauder Pure Color lipglosses swatch sheer. On my arm, you can just about see the colour &#8211; a very pretty pinky red with fine shimmer. However, on my rather pigmented lips, the colour disappears somewhat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7375\" title=\"el_pure_color_gloss4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss4.jpg\" alt=\"estee lauder pure color gloss fotd\" width=\"530\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss4.jpg 530w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/el_pure_color_gloss4-300x198.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Also featuring Chanel Les Roses on cheeks, Holika Holika Peach Girl BB Cream on face<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Applied on my lips, Star Ruby gives a hint of colour, and LOTS of shine. I tend to wear it when I want just a hint of colour (or I&#8217;m too lazy to find a lip colour to match my look). I also find myself having to reapply often &#8211; it barely lasts me 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>On the upside, its not sticky and it does feel quite light. There is that signature Estee Lauder lip product smell &#8211; I think its fig? &#8211; but it dissipates, thank goodness.<\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight\">\n<p><strong>Pros:<\/strong> Not too sticky, Easy to apply, Nice shine and gloss factor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cons:<\/strong> Very sheer colour, Not long lasting<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Tried the new Estee Lauder Pure Color lip glosses yet?\u00a0I thought I got it right by going for a brighter colour in the tube, not realizing that the lip gloss applies so sheerly. I guess if I want to consider another, I have to go for something darker or even brighter. A colour named Red Tango perhaps? \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>The texture is nice, but I guess I&#8217;m just not that into sheer glosses, since I wear my glosses alone. Worn over lipstick or a lip stain, this would be gorgeous! \ud83d\ude00 Tom Pechaux says that &#8220;Gloss brings a highlight and sensuality to the face. For me, a woman who wears a gloss looks like she wants to be kissed!&#8221; Hmm&#8230; does that mean I should be wearing gloss more often then? \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p>Paris B<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipgloss is available at all Estee Lauder counters.
