I love Rouge Dior as much as I love Dior Addict. Actually, I love the new Rouge Dior because it doesn’t feel as “old” on the lips as the old Rouge Dior. And it comes in a lipstick with a name like “Devilish Pink” – delicious! 😀

Rouge Dior Haute Colour – Devilish Pink in foreground

I was digging around in my stash one day looking for something when I stumbled on this lipstick. Yes, its a forgotten find and I’m so glad I found it! First, the name had me smiling and then then I opened the tube, the fuchsia tone had me eyes going 😯 Bright eh?

Thankfully, the tones in this lipstick tend towards being a little cool and one swipe on my lips confirmed that yes, this is a colour I can handle quite quite comfortably 🙂

The swatch on my lips, as shown in the picture on the right is quite true to what it really looks like on.

I will admit that it does look super bright and you have to be careful when you apply this because the colour is creamy and opaque. Just one swipe gives you that colour. Lovely!

However, in the face shot, you can see that it isn’t quite as strong as all that depending on how you do the rest of your makeup. Keep everything else light, define your eyes and it’ll all fall right into place. Devilish pink is not quite the devil to wear after all! 😀

Pros: Creamy opaque strong colour, Long lasting, Practical and elegant packaging

Cons: Pricey, Some might find the colour too strong

One thing I must note is the way the Rouge Dior lipsticks are moulded. I like the squarish slant of the lipstick as opposed to the sharp tear-drop slant we get in many brands. This squarish shape actually lends itself better to lipstick application if you choose to apply it straight from the tube. I get less of it going out of line and it is easier to control the application and shape too.

Do you own a Rouge Dior? I love the new formula. Its lighter, not as drying yet is as strongly pigmented as ever which makes it a great choice for picking up strong coloured lipsticks 😀

Paris B

Rouge Dior Haute Colour lipsticks retail at RM95 each at all Dior counters

What is the 30 Days of Lip Swatches project? I will be showcasing and reviewing 30 lipsticks or lip glosses in the coming days. Lip products was chosen by popular vote from the readers. You may find all 30 days of lip swatches or follow it by clicking on the Lips category.
