Did you ever read “The Old Curiousity Shop” by Charles Dickens? Its quite a depressing read, but I always wanted to wander into a curiousity shop. I did do so often, but there aren’t many to browse in locally. Well if you’re at a loose end on a Sunday (or any day, actually) Sundays at Bangsar Village 2 is an upscale version of the Old Curiousity Shop 🙂

There is a bit of everything in there from all over the world – furniture, kitchen ware, cute stationery, soaps, candles… told you it was a little bit of everything 🙂

Let me show you a few things that caught my eye in there. First was stationery. I was very taken in by boxes filled with Japanese washi paper masking tape (RM10/roll or RM45/5 rolls). They are so colourful and if I were the crafty sort, I’d definitely pick up some for giftwrapping. With these colourful tapes, you can use the plainest of paper and it’d still look cheery. Pricey, but cheery.

Another thing that had me standing and staring for a long time were the absolutely adorable notebooks. I nearly picked up one but the choice was overwhelming so I didn’t because I couldn’t choose! They would make very good gifts if you know a friend who’d have use of such notebooks. There’s even something for dog lovers in this store! 😀

Another thing that caught my eye were there absolutely gorgeous note paper with initials! Do I pick one up in P or B? 😛 I think these note papers would make lovely gift tags – and are cheaper than actual gift tags too! 😀
