Alright many of you asked about the cosmetics, so I’ll share my haul. Where do I start? 😛 I’ll break this down by brand, shall I? Picture heavy – be warned 🙂

Urban Decay

Before I left, I had requests from Kahani and Syen to pick up the new Urban Decay Naked palette. We’d been planning to get it from Sephora Singapore but it was not due out then (It is now at S$73) so when I got to London, I hit up the nearest Urban Decay counter at House of Fraser and promptly told the sales assistant to set me aside “3 Naked palettes please!” Its wonderful to say that and not have someone look at you like you are crazy. I then texted both Kahani and Syen to say “We got Naked!” and the replies were along the lines of “Yay!” So you see, Naked isn’t just a state of being between fans of beauty stuff 😀

The Urban Decay Naked palette retails at £27 in the UK which, according to our math, is cheaper than the USA and Singapore so we got a bargain! Yay! 😀

I also picked up the Urban Decay Black Palette (£23), no thanks to Lipglossiping. I loved how pigmented it was and how DARK the colours were. You would never guess it looking at the palette but they apply black with nuances. Love! I love using dark colours and besides, it goes well with the Naked palette to add depth.

Bourjois

At Superdrug, they were running a 3 for 2 on Bourjois (and many other brands) and for some reason, I ended up with the Healthy Mix Foundation, Healthy Mix Concealer and Healthy Mix Brush Concealer. I’d lost all interest in colour cosmetics after Urban Decay so it was just base products for me.

Rimmel

I kept seeing the new Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara everywhere so I eventually caved in and got it at £6.99. Promises to promote lash growth. What’s it with brands and the current obsession with lash growth mascara?! We’re seeing it in every level now, from Lancome all the way down to Rimmel!

L’Oreal

I spotted the new L’Oreal Youth Code moisturizer and I remembered my chat buddy LeGeeque raving about it to me so I picked it up at the promotional price of £10. For some reason, I get the feeling that this is the drugstore cream with the Lancome Genifique technology – we know how Lancome and L’Oreal share technology but I never expected it to trickle down this quickly.

I also got the L’Oreal 360 Perfect Clean Foaming Gel Wash with Scrublet (£4) which I know we aren’t getting here (I checked months ago when I first came across it)

For my Mom I got her the L’Oreal Age Perfect Day and Night Creams which is formulated for mature skin. We do not get this line here at time of writing, although I’d spotted it in Singapore. She’s going to take it for a whirl and if anyone’s interested, she’ll share her thoughts on it soon. Needless to say, she’s quite excited at trying something new. I knew I had to get my experimental streak from somewhere!

Topshop

Popped by Topshop and I had to see how the Topshop makeup fared. To be perfectly honest, nothing much grabbed my attention. The testers looked a bit grimy but I did end up with 2 cream blushes in Flush (pink) and Neon Rose (coral) (£6 each). They apply sheerer than they look and are alright. Nothing to write home to mother about.

Moroccan Oil for Hair

I stumbled upon the Stephan Way hair salon on Bond St. and popped upstairs to enquire about the Moroccan Oil for hair. My hair had been suffering from days of crappy shampoo and was looking like a helmet. The oil is great stuff! I can see why there are so many raves about this online.
