I remember Korres being sold here in Malaysia a few years back. I was at a warehouse sale once where I picked up some shampoo and I later found they were expired! The shampoo did not impress me bleh… Its gone from Malaysia now anyway.

So, when I read how popular the Korres Guava shower gel is, I picked up a bottle on one of my StrawberryNET.com purchases. Korres is a Greek brand and has a bit of a cult following.

I imagined that Guava would smell nice. I like the smell of Guava – I like eating it too 😀 But I’m afraid I did not like the Korres Guava shower gel.

Why did no one ever mention that it smells of coconut?!

I do not like the smell of coconut in anything – be it food or body products. Bah! Granted, they do say that it has a tropical scent but I’m really tired of anything with a “tropical scent” smelling of coconut 😛

As a shower gel, it does its job. Cleans your skin yet does not dry it out. I do believe however, that it is a little too abrasive for my hands. They are starting to peel and by now I realize that when the skin on my hands start to peel, its a sign there’s too much abrasive detergent in a product. I just realised that just these two weeks alone, I featured 3 products that made my hand react to the ingredients in them by drying out and peeling. One is a natural product, one is haircare and another is this. I don’t know what is the common factor that’s causing my problem and it drives me nuts!

Pros: Cleans skin, Isn’t drying on body, Thick cream is lush

Cons: Too abrasive on my hands, Smells of coconut (a pro if you like coconut)

But coconut! How did a guava smell of coconut?!

At US$12.50 its not cheap. For something that smells of coconut 😛 Have you tried any Korres shower gels or other Korres products? Is there any you’d recommend? 🙂 Perhaps I got a dud 😛

Paris B

Korres is not available in Malaysia at time of writing. I purchased this for US$12.50 online on StrawberryNET.com

I remember Korres being sold here in Malaysia a few years back.
