I&#8217;m no good at these things. So I don&#8217;t do tributes.<\/p>\n<p>But when I found out this morning that Alexander McQueen had passed on ostensibly from suicide, I felt a little wrench. You see, one of my favourite perfumes ever is by <strong>Alexander McQueen &#8211; Kingdom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4331\" title=\"McQueen_kingdom\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/McQueen_kingdom.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/McQueen_kingdom.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/McQueen_kingdom-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I bought my first during a sale. The scent is strong &#8211; musky and distinctive and overtly sensual. I don&#8217;t smell it on many women and I know of many who don&#8217;t like it at all. But I do! \ud83d\ude00 Best worn at night although if you spray it sparingly, you can pull it off for the day.<\/p>\n<p>But a little while ago while I was at Lane Crawford Hong Kong, I smelt a lighter version of Kingdom in the air. Sniffing the air like a hound led me to the Alexander McQueen perfume counter where there was a limited edition Kingdom for sale in a lighter fresher formulation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4330\" title=\"McQueen_kingdom2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/McQueen_kingdom2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/McQueen_kingdom2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/McQueen_kingdom2-300x256.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The bottle is gold instead of the distinctive red and there is a picture of some Roman\/Greek scupltures of Aphrodite and Galatea on the background. As it is limited edition, I don&#8217;t think its available anymore.<\/p>\n<p>That is my singular experience with anything Alexander McQueen.
