How did the weekend go for you? Too fast? Yeah it felt that way for me too. So, I slicked on something new to get my mojo going to kick start a Monday morning with a meeting!

I wanted to go with Racy Wonderkiss lipstick but that might have looked a tad vampiric on a Monday morning (I’m out for blood but that would have been too obvious LOL) so I instead opted for something lighter and more natural in Guerlain Grace Rouge G lipstick.

The Guerlain Kisskiss lipstick ranks amongst my favourite-st lipsticks ever. I love the formula, colours, texture and luxury. The Rouge G lipsticks are no different. Everything from the packaging down to the heft of the metal tube screams luxury and this is my first Rouge G lipstick!

Grace is a new colour released under the Guerlain Imperiale Christmas Collection for 2009. The colour is a soft, natural beige-pink with slight shimmer and all in all, a colour anyone can easily wear. It shows up just “my lips but better” on my rather pigmented lips which is great when you are rushing out the door for a meeting. I pulled together a quick neutral look with this lippie which will be below. 🙂

For the Guerlain Imperiale collection, the Rouge G lipstick comes with a black gem embedded in the metal case. Regular Rouge G lipsticks don’t have this. The black gem holds the mirror in the cover closed when the lipstick is closed but once you pull it out the cover springs open to reveal a highly useable mirror. I use the mirror to check for lipstick stains on my teeth or smudges on my eyes and I love how big it is. I still do think the mirror bit is tacky and I wish there was a way it would stay shut because I don’t use it all that often.

However, because the case is metal, there is heft which is at once luxurious but a pain if you’re already carrying a lot around in your handbag.
