Anon<\/strong>, a reader emailed to ask this on my post about makeup storage<\/a>:-<\/p>\n

You said you don’t use a traincase to store your makeup. Why don’t you? And where can I buy a train case?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Well Anon, You got it right. I did say I don’t use a traincase to store my makeup. I’d done it before but I found it impractical. I’m not saying its not a good idea – it is! But for me, its only a good idea if you want to keep away your cosmetics every time after using it due to space constraints, or if you travel a lot with your cosmetics, like makeup artists do.<\/p>\n

For the everyday individual, I would suggest boxes and plastic or wooden drawers as a better storage option because the majority of us will not be toting our cosmetics around.<\/p>\n

Using a train case too takes up a lot of space – believe it or not. Try opening one up and you’ll know what I mean. Once you expand all those tiered trays, the train case has a huge footprint and might just take up more space than a box or drawer set. Still, you can see and take everything you want in one go, so much depends on what you want \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

As for where to buy train cases, you can get them at places like Sasa or beauty supply shops. If you go to Sg. Wang Plaza, there are quite a few random beauty supply shops around that sell train cases of all sizes and colours. Near Petaling Street too is a beauty supply store I go to sometimes – Syarikat Kau Lee. They have a HUGE variety there and I’ve even seen them do those old school Hollywood style mirrors with lights all round!<\/p>\n

If you want something that may not look as cute but is sturdier than a regular makeup train case, do look in DIY shops as I said before. Some of the DIY tool boxes are handy and cute. I’ve even seen one in pink! Not sure which sort of handyman they are targeting with that one \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
