But then I age and Estee Lauder doesn&#8217;t \ud83d\ude1b And suddenly, with the new <strong>Fuschia Now Spring 2009 collection, <\/strong>Estee Lauder looks interesting again!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17842\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/el-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/el-2.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/el-2-300x264.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I blame <a href=\"http:\/\/www.makeupandbeautyblog.com\/product-reviews\/estee-lauder-spring-2009-fuchsia-now-sings-with-soft-color\/\">Karen<\/a> (in a nice way of course) for making me look twice at Estee Lauder&#8217;s Spring 2009 collection. I don&#8217;t usually wear pinks and purples on the eyes for fear of looking abused, but the new Estee Lauder eyeshadows are really quite something and now, I suddenly want to check them out.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I stopped by the Estee Lauder counter to take a look and hurrah! The Fuschia Now collection is available! So of course I had to play with them and pick up some swatches for your viewing pleasure \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over here, although the name of the Spring 2009 collection is Fuschia Now, there are 2 sets of <strong>Eyeshadow Duos (RM85 each) <\/strong>and matching lipsticks, lipglosses and cream blushes. The sets are divided into warm and cool colours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17843\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/elfuschia2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"688\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/elfuschia2.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/elfuschia2-196x300.jpg 196w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Fuschia collection appears to be the cooler coloured set and that was the one I was eyeing. The eyeshadow duo (RM85) has a cute flower print on it and the duo is <strong>Indigo <\/strong>&#8211; a very light pink and dark purple-grey. I loved the combination and would have bought it if it was just a little more shimmery. Unfortunately, it tends to be on the matte side especially the purple, so I regretfully had to pass. Here are some swatches on my hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The <strong>Aubergine Duo <\/strong>is the cooler eyeshadow duo and although it looks beige and purple in the pan, it swatches beige and brown. In fact you can barely see the beige. I felt it was too flat and blah. Such a pity! Both eye duos were so pretty!<\/p>\n<p>I loved the <strong>Signature Lustre Lipstick in 51 <\/strong>&#8211; the rosier colour. I cannot be sure but this might be the <strong>Rich Berry <\/strong>of the collection. It went on smooth and had no discernable fragrance. The packaging too looks sleek. If I were to get one item from this collection, it might be this lipstick! I&#8217;ve always been a fan of Estee Lauder Pure Color lipsticks. The colours aren&#8217;t exciting and the fig smell gets to some people but I like the smooth non drying texture and opaque colour. I haven&#8217;t tried the Signature Lustre line so this might be a good chance to.<\/p>\n<p>And like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/2008\/08\/14\/estee-lauder-chocolate-decadence\">Chocolate Decadence<\/a>, the Estee Lauder Spring 2009 collection has a limited edition shimmer powder &#8211; <strong>Fleur de Lys shimmer powder (RM120)<\/strong>. It looks so gorgeous in the compact!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17844\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/elfuschia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"865\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/elfuschia.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/elfuschia-156x300.jpg 156w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can sweep over all the colors for a shimmery pink radiance for the face. The colours were applied with a brush and I knew right off it would only be suitable as a pink shimmer blush. Apply it all over your face and you risk looking burnt.<\/p>\n<p>The Estee Lauder Fuschia Now Spring 2009 collection is available exclusively only at Isetan KLCC, Isetan The Gardens and Parkson Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n<p>Oh and I also saw and played with the Estee Lauder Turbolash vibrating mascara which I will compare with the Lancome Oscillation in an upcoming post.
