To my surprise, there aren&#8217;t many out there. I&#8217;m not sure now when I bought it. It could be early this year (2018) but it was during one of my Cult Beauty purchases. I must have tossed it into my cart without thinking too much about it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18565 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-min.jpg\" alt=\"pixi rose cream cleanser\" width=\"680\" height=\"907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-min.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-min-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-min-15x20.jpg 15w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I have used the famed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/2015\/02\/pixi-glow-tonic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glow Tonic<\/a> and like it. I also have tried a few other products by Pixi Beauty &#8211; the Rose Oil, Glow Tonic wipes, Double Cleanse, Cleansing Balm, just to name a few &#8211; but I often forget to showcase them LOL \ud83d\ude1b It was opportune that I have received a few inquiries about the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser, after showing a picture on Instagram a while ago, that I finally remembered to blog about this one.<\/p>\n<p>I am partial to a cream cleanser, and this being by Pixi, which I have high regards for as a brand, had me curious.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first thing I am going to tell you is to put aside ALL expectations you may have. I dare bet that when you saw the name &#8220;Rose Cream Cleanser&#8221;, you had the following expectations:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The product is pink<\/li>\n<li>The product smells of roses<\/li>\n<li>The product is a thick cream that comforts skin and cleanses without stripping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ok, some expectations were met &#8211; 1 out of 3 isn&#8217;t too bad, is it? \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p>First off, no the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser has no rose scent at all. Now, this can either disappoint you, or leave you feeling ambivalent. For me, I was relieved. I like the scent of roses, but a strong rose scent puts me off using a product. I tried very hard to extract the scent of roses from the product, but nope. Not a bit of it.<\/p>\n<p>Second, it&#8217;s not pink. The colour is a beige-cream erm&#8230; cream when squeezed out of the tube. I had to readjust my tube for these photos. I find that the tube gets misshapen very easily, like a tube of toothpaste, as you can probably tell from the dents in the packaging. If you are the sort who likes their products looking pristine, this will trouble you. It doesn&#8217;t trouble me.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18566 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-sample-min.jpg\" alt=\"pixi rose cream cleanser\" width=\"680\" height=\"907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-sample-min.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-sample-min-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pixi-rose-cream-cleanser-sample-min-15x20.jpg 15w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But what does trouble me is that the residue will cake around the opening of the tube, and oxidise to a deep pink colour. I find it unsightly, and often have to clean it off. No matter how careful I am with squeezing out just a little product (because you don&#8217;t need very much) there will be some residue that remains. In this sense, I think I&#8217;d prefer packaging like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/2017\/08\/skincare-routine-aug-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REN Evercalm Cleansing Milk<\/a>, in the pump packaging. Granted, it is more pricey to use this sort of packaging, but it doesn&#8217;t seem to result in so much caked up residue.<\/p>\n<p>Performance-wise, this is your regulation cream cleanser. I use it as my morning cleanse, and I do find it fairly gentle. It is easy to rinse off with just water, without having to use a cloth, and it feels comfortable. My skin does not feel unduly stripped of moisture.<\/p>\n<p>I have also used this as an evening cleanse, either as a first or second cleanse, and it does the job as well. I do find that a little dollop is all you need, and the tube does dispense more product than you need. So be sure to control it nicely. The good thing is that the product is fairly thick, so it is easy to control squeezing the tube.<\/p>\n<p>However, I also find that if I were to use the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser every day for a week or two, it can feel a bit drying. This is especially so in a morning cleanse. For this reason, I feel that it serves a better purpose as an evening cleanse, as a first cleanse after removing makeup with a micellar water, or as a second cleanse after your cleansing balm\/oil. For daily morning use, I much prefer using the REN Evercalm Cleansing Milk, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/2018\/02\/8-things-i-enjoy-using\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SkinDewi Raspberry Cleansing Milk<\/a> as they feel more gentle for me.<\/p>\n<p>I think this is a good cream cleanser, if you are new to using cream cleanser. The reason is because it rinses off easily without residue, which will be more comfortable for most people used to a &#8220;clean skin&#8221; feeling. For this reason, I think this will suit those with combination or oily skin types as well, and it will help you transition to other, what I feel are, better cream cleansers \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>IN A NUTSHELL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser is a pretty basic cream cleanser, that feels quite gentle on skin and does not strip skin of its natural oils. It does not lather, but feels comfortable to massage into the skin and it rinses off easily with just water without leaving much residue. I do find however, that prolonged use can make my dry skin feel a little drier. So I tend to alternate this with other cleansers for morning use, or use it in the evening. It isn&#8217;t a makeup remover, so I won&#8217;t use it as one. However, if you already remove your makeup with micellar water or a makeup remover, then this does duty as your cleanser. It does not smell of roses, which is fine by me, but may not appeal to everyone. There isn&#8217;t a strong scent by any means, but it does smell a little unexpected. But it does contain many hydrating ingredients to counter that. All in all, I&#8217;d say its pretty decent as far as cream cleansers go, provided you are comfortable with the scent (or lack of it) and its texture.<\/p>\n<h4>Have you tried the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser?
