Last week, my friend sent me a picture of a finished jar of foundation. It was scraped clean. Every last bit had been used. I was very impressed. So I got to thinking – What was the last foundation I finished?

What impressed me further, was when she told me that she would repurchase it, because she was so happy with it. And I wondered again. Was there a foundation I loved so much I’d finish it AND repurchase?

Well, actually I have! And you have to tell me yours 😉

Ok, I have no photos to accompany this, but I have finished foundations before. They were powder foundations and I used to use various brands like Kanebo Media, Revlon and a few other Japanese ones. I was such a creature of habit that I’d repurchase the same product over and over! I used the powder foundation (then called a 2-way powder) from The Body Shop for years, buying the refills when I ran out, until they reformulated the product and I didn’t like it anymore. As you can imagine, that was in my early days of wearing makeup, when all I had was one pan of powder foundation, 1 blush and 2 lipsticks. I always had more than 1 lipstick 😀

In more recent years, the answer is a no. I haven’t yet finished a liquid foundation although I’m currently coming close to finishing 3 – The Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation, the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and the Lunasol Skin Modelling Liquid Foundation. I should use them often, just so I can finish them – it’ll be a badge of honour LOL

Another foundation I can forsee myself finishing is the EX-1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation which I’ll tell you about another day. I enjoy using it, and it is one that I will eventually run out of.

I’d actually be more than happy to finish and repurchase these foundations that you see in the picture above. I’d shared with you previously, a post about my favourite foundations, and most of them are featured here too.

I never blogged individually about the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation but it’s one of the better products I’ve used from Urban Decay. And the Bobbi Brown Skin Nourishing Glow Foundation and the Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation are both fairly new, but very nice products.

The problem for me is quantity (too many, I should trim) and using too little product each time. I use between half to a pump, depending on the texture of the foundation, and I only use it once a day. Coupled with my roving eye and soft spot for foundations (or base products in general), I’m not surprised that I haven’t yet finished a bottle of liquid foundation! 😛

I think I’ll pull out 1-2 of my favourite ones and use them exclusively till I’m through. Or until I get bored. Whichever comes first LOL! Now, your turn – tell me what’s the last foundation you finished and if it’s something you’d buy again?

Paris B

Last week, my friend sent me a picture of a finished jar of foundation.
