You know those beauty items that you make sure you have with you in the cabin, no matter what?<\/p>\n<p>I usually carry my whole toiletries kit on board the plane actually. I just make sure that everything in there is 100ml or under and I&#8217;m good. Never been stopped yet for lugging a cosmetics kit heavier than my luggage! Ok&#8230; not that dramatic, but close.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15255\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials.jpg\" alt=\"inflight essentials\" width=\"640\" height=\"347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials-300x163.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials-20x11.jpg 20w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While most of the time, my cosmetics kit ends up in the overhead compartment (weight and bulk y&#8217;know), there are some things I usually ensure I have with me in my seat so I can use them throughout my flight, long or short.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure you have your essential items too, that you don&#8217;t like to fly without so do share what yours are \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Well, ok the boarding pass is a no-brainer LOL! I have a travel pouch that I keep all my stubs and boarding passes and passport in so it&#8217;s technically a prop.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials2.jpg\" alt=\"in flight essentials\" width=\"640\" height=\"456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials2-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mywomenstuff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/inflight-essentials2-20x14.jpg 20w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But what I do make sure I have close to hand are these:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hand Cream<\/strong> &#8211; I&#8217;m horrible with using hand cream on a daily basis, but when I fly, I&#8217;m a dedicated hand cream user.\u00a0The air in an airplane cabin is dry and I always notice that my hands come out the worse for wear. We all know that hands show our true ages more than our faces right? So, I carry a hand cream with me, preferring to go for something lightly scented or non-scented. I trialed the <strong>Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream<\/strong> on my recent flight. I liked the texture and it absorbed quickly and it was very good for very dry skin. But I wasn&#8217;t keen on the scent that I found a bit strong so it&#8217;s not one I&#8217;d tote on board again although I&#8217;d use it in a hotel room or at home.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Face Mist<\/strong> &#8211; I used to carry a bottle of Evian face mist but there&#8217;s a recent ruling that prohibits you from carrying pressurised or aerosol cans on board flights, so rather than risk my face mist being confiscated, I switched to a mist in a non-pressurised bottle. The <strong>Bobbi Brown Face Mist<\/strong> is on trial and I can safely say I like it a lot! Cabin air is very dry and drying so regular spritzes of face mist keeps your skin moist and refreshes you before arrival. The gentle refreshing scent is lovely and perks you up, which I found very helpful when feeling tired, headachey and cranky after a long journey. Heck, even my parents couldn&#8217;t resist stealing it to use for themselves!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lip Balm<\/strong> &#8211; Again, I&#8217;m not a big lip balm user, but when I travel, that&#8217;s when I whip them out on a regular basis. In the dry cabin air, I find that a layer of lip balm helps my lips stay supple and protected. I only had about 5 hours flying time, but it was enough for me to feel the effects, and the <strong>La Mer Lip Balm<\/strong> was absolutely lovely. I liked how well it protected my lips and the lovely tingly minty feeling. Again, the parents were generous with their use of it. Happy to know that it was La Mer as well LOL!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Water<\/strong> &#8211; Not something I&#8217;d bring on board but this is the most essential inflight item for me. I always take water on a flight. When served drinks, I may take a juice, but I always also ask for a cup of water alongside. These days, I even travel with an empty bottle, which I then ask the flight attendants to fill up with water for me, so I don&#8217;t have to trouble them with my incessant demands to be watered. I guess I&#8217;m like a plant &#8211; I need lots of water LOL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On a short flight (I consider anything under 6 hours short) these are all I have with me. About 45 minutes before landing, I usually grab my kit and head to the toilets to clean my face, reapply my moisturiser and maybe put on a little makeup, if I&#8217;m feeling it. Otherwise, I just make sure I refresh my skincare.<\/p>\n<p>If it&#8217;s a longer flight, I usually do 2 face washes &#8211; once early in the flight, when I then put on a face mask or sleeping mask before going to sleep; and once more before landing to refresh my skin. Some day, when I take a longer flight, I&#8217;ll be sure to share my inflight essentials then too \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h4>Do you have any inflight beauty essentials? Do share, I&#8217;m nosy!<\/h4>\n<p>The 4 essentials I&#8217;ve shown you above are usually kept on hand as a basic in-flight package. It does amuse me to note that I don&#8217;t even regularly use 2 of them but I&#8217;m a changed person when I leave my regular routine.
