Ah the wonders of a reputation eh? \ud83d\ude09 Joking aside, the reason why I bought only one lipstick was because I&#8217;d spent the rest of my money buying the Majolica Majorca stuff for the giveaway. So, watch out when I get back to the Rimmel counter!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i253.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh67\/parisbeaverbanks\/beauty\/rimmel2-1.jpg\" alt=\"Rimmel Gloss Maxx lipstick\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The one lipstick I got was the Rimmel London Gloss Maxx lipstick which I found on the Japan website for Rimmel. It doesn&#8217;t seem to be available on the other Rimmel sites in the world and part of the label is in Chinese\/Japanese so I&#8217;d safely say this is a Rimmel Asia Exclusive! And boy! Do I like this one!<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Rimmel Gloss Maxx lipstick <\/strong>is, as the name suggests, a gloss-lipstick. The texture is sheer and shiny like a gloss but wears like a lipstick. I took a couple of swatches of a few colours at the counter before deciding on 001.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i253.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh67\/parisbeaverbanks\/beauty\/rimmel3.jpg\" alt=\"Rimmel Gloss Maxx lipstick\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most of the colours are on the sheer and light side with 001 being one of the darkest shades. Of course, I had to pick the one in the reddest tone. I love red lipstick! #4 was nice too being of a more coral tone. I might need that some day. You can see in the picture on the right what I mean about the lipstick being sheer.<\/p>\n<p>Swiped on once, its quite light. Swipe on a second time and you get a darker variation of colour which is nice. Its like having 2 lipsticks for the price of just one!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:left; margin:0px 10px 5px 0px\" src=\"http:\/\/i253.photobucket.com\/albums\/hh67\/parisbeaverbanks\/beauty\/rimmel4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>On the lips, the colour of 01 is a <strong>sheer shimmery red<\/strong>. I previously used a sheer red in the Maybelline 3D Collagen lipstick but this one feels quite different. It slicks on easily and has slight shimmer to it which is really pretty. The colour too is more intense than that of the Maybelline lipstick. Its one of those reds that you can use in the day without too many people staring at you or up the ante to make people stare if you like. But then, I&#8217;m one of those who wear red lipstick at any time of the day, staring eyes or no! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>The red in this Rimmel lipstick has blue tones to it which may mean its made for those with cooler skin tones. I can&#8217;t quite tell because I can take both warm and cool tones fairly well but this might not look so good on you if you wear golds and bronzes well.<\/p>\n<p>The Rimmel Gloss Maxx lipstick <strong>does not feel heavy on the lips <\/strong>nor does it dry it out. The best part about it is that there is <strong>no fragrance at all<\/strong>. The Long Lasting Finish lipsticks have a sweet fragrance that turns me off (some girls I know like it) but this one is fragrance free. Part of the reason why I bought it!<\/p>\n<p>Retailing at only <strong>RM19.90 <\/strong>I did not expect the packaging to be wonderful and luxurious and truly, its just simple basic black plastic on the outside with a gold metal band around the middle. Other than the fact they use numbers instead of names (Why do companies use numbers to label their products?
