Skincare Empties I used up during quarantine: 7 I will repurchase and 2 I will not

June 8, 2020 Paris B 6 Comments

Being in quarantine or lockdown has been good for skincare enthusiasts. It’s forced us to take a long hard look at what we own and use, and actually use it. That’s one positive thing to come out of this!

skincare empties

I’ve been quite good at using up my skincare in the past year or so, so it wasn’t too hard for me to amass a bunch of empty bottles and tubes in the time that our movement was restricted.

Usually, I’d just use them up, make a mental note whether I like them, and quickly forget about them as I move on to the next new item. But this time, I gave it a little more thought.

The Carrot Cream was recommended to me then, as a heavier alternative for a moisturizer, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

So, when I saw the new The Body Shop Carrot Cream, I came over all nostalgic

Beauty hors d’oeuvres: The Body Shop 100% Natural Shea Butter for all your moisture and DIY skincare needs

April 4, 2019 Paris B 2 Comments

Those of you who have a more creative, experimental nature might be pleased to know that you can now get 100% Natural Shea Butter that comes from a fair-trade, reputable source. Just head on down to The Body Shop!

While The Body Shop has always had a shea butter range of products (I used to use their Shea Butter Body Butters for chronically dry skin – Dad swore by it for cracked heels!) I believe it’s the first time that we’re getting shea butter in its pure form.

So, what can you do with it?
