As a fan of Vitamin C serum I just had to see if I would enjoy using the Sephora Luminizing Booster with Vitamin C

January 15, 2018 Paris B 15 Comments

I am quite a big fan of using Vitamin C serums, so when I was told by a few readers about the (then) new Sephora Luminizing Booster with Vitamin C, I was intrigued. It isn’t very expensive (relatively) and most people who have used it reported positive results with it.

Naturally, I was intrigued!

Incidentally, this is part of 3 different booster serums in the Sephora brand, and as you can expect, is only sold at Sephora stores or online. I have never used anything from the Sephora collection, so this is really the first time for me. I picked this up during one of the 20% sales – I’ve lost that privilege now I’m no longer a Black Card member! LOL Didn’t donate enough money to the Temple of Sephora 😛

The Sephora Luminizing Booster comes in a small bottle of just 20ml, and with slightly confusing directions of use. It claims to help improve dull skin, which is where the Vitamin C really comes it. It also claims to contain a high percentage of Vitamin C although it doesn’t quite say how much is “high”. But how did it fare for me, and is it something I’d use for the long term?

Save and Splurge on coloured eyeliner: Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof and Sephora Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner

August 19, 2016 Paris B 30 Comments

I go through phases with my makeup, and I’m currently in the “lazy girl” phase. I’ve been keeping things light and easy (with emphasis on easy!) with my makeup, so when I wanted to cut back on eyeshadow, I decided to take a very simple way out. I’d wear just coloured eyeliner!

coloured eyeliner

It pretty much started out because I was in a hurry one day and didn’t want to spend time putting on eyeshadow. I do have my go-to palettes and products, but you know, sometimes, even those can fail you. So, I found myself reaching for a Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof eyeliner in a bright blue from one of the past seasonal collection, to add a pop of colour to the eyes.

Little did I realise that it was the start of a new obsession for me! LOL! 😀 I did end up with a save and splurge option so I wanted to share them with you. If you have brands with coloured eyeliner that you love, please share it with me? 🙂

Don’t sit and watch (nail) paint dry, the Sephora Express Drying Oil dries polish in just 1 minute!

April 17, 2014 Paris B 32 Comments

I don’t usually mess about with my nails but I recently came across a very interesting product (to me) that prompted me to dig out my long forgotten nail polishes again. They’d been so long forgotten I’d forgotten where I put them all LOL! Yes, I’m hopeless with nails.

But when I mess about with my nails, I want it to be quick. I don’t want to sit around for ages like a tai-tai waving my hands in the air or blowing on them to make them dry more quickly. Previously, I’d use Seche Vite but then I was introduced to this interesting product from Sephora.

The product is the Sephora brand Express Drying Oil and it’s supposed to be a product for quickly drying your nail polish. In 1 minute, they claim. Yes, colour me intrigued!

I’ve never tried something like this before, other than Seche Vite, have you?
