If price is no object get a natural Blushing Peach flush with the Nvey Eco Powder Blush

December 16, 2013 Paris B 13 Comments

Nvey Eco is a brand of natural and organic makeup that was introduced to me, to see if they might live up to my expectations when compared to conventional makeup that I use. I have to say that my experience with the Nvey Eco liquid foundation and the Nvey Eco Concealer left a lot to be desired. In fact, I haven’t been impressed at all with much else I’ve tried from the brand. That is of course, my personal take on it, as my expectations will differ from another’s.

However, there is one item that I did like, very unexpectedly because I’m very picky when it comes to this category.

nvey eco blushing peach blush

And that is blush. There are 3 shades of blush carried by TNS Skinlab locally – Blushing Peach, Blushing Sunset and Blushing Golden. Blushing Peach, which you’ll see here, is the lightest of the 3, and in person, the colour is very light, very nondescript and in a word, very boring.

You will not look at this and squeal “So pretty!” nor will you exclaim “Oh what a gorgeous colour!” The packaging is utilitarian and it just looks pale and light and just quite boring in pan. But this has quickly become a favourite blush for daily wear, which is something I never expected at all!

Organic Makeup that conceals and claims to be good for your skin from Nvey Eco and RMS Beauty

July 24, 2013 Paris B 18 Comments

There aren’t many organic makeup brands around are there? Maybe there are, but I’m just not aware mainly because I’m not that specialized in the natural, organic field. But recently, I was introduced to a foundation by Nvey Eco and I also bought a highly raved concealer from RMS Beauty to see what the hype was about.

Since I have 2 concealers from 2 organic makeup brands, I thought it would be useful to have them both in one post so those of you who are interested in trying organic makeup will know of your options.

It has taken me a while to figure out if I like these or if they measure up to other non-organic makeup brands. The thing is, I recently found a firm favourite, and you might even call it Holy Grail concealer in the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer so when I discovered that, everything else paled in comparison.

It was against this background that I put the Nvey Eco Erase Concealer and RMS Beauty Un Cover-up to the test and had to adjust my thinking accordingly.

Both these organic concealers come in a “paste” form i.e. they are compressed cream products that took me a while to figure out how to use. After a lot of experimenting, my final conclusion is that both these products work best using your fingers. In fact, you will HATE it if you don’t use your fingers and try to use a brush. How do I know? Because I did. A month ago, that would have been my review. Hate this, don’t buy it. But if you ask me now, I actually quite like these with a few caveats.

When you use the Nvey Eco Moisture Rich Fluid Foundation, organic makeup now fits your organic lifestyle!

nvey eco moisture rich liquid foundation

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a greenie nor terribly sold on natural/organic products. But I know there are many people out there trying to go organic or natural for a healthier lifestyle. So, when I was given the chance to learn a little more and to try a brand of organic makeup, I took it up. I thought it would be interesting to see how well natural and organic makeup stand up to regular department store or pharmacy/drugstore makeup 🙂

The brand I was introduced to was Nvey Eco an organic makeup brand that hails from Australia. There aren’t many around, in case you are wondering. Nvey Eco aims to provide high quality, high performance makeup that is 100% Certified Organic. I think you’ll agree that this is rather fascinating 🙂

Today I’ll tell you what I think of the Nvey Eco Moisture Rich Fluid Foundation in 514 Cool Natural. There are 4 shades available locally at TNS Skinlab although there are 6 shades available in all. The key ingredients in the foundation are organic chamomile, vitamin E, safflower oil along with being oil free, fragrance free, paraben free… you get the picture. But importantly, how does this measure up to say… my Holy Grail liquid foundation? Ahh…
