New! Neutrogena Ageless Anti-Wrinkle and Firming Skincare

October 22, 2011 Paris B 15 Comments

Have any of you observant ladies seen this range at the pharmacies recently? I noticed them about a month ago – the red packaging is very distinctive and reminded me of another brand, also targeted at anti-aging 😉

neutrogena ageless skincare

This is the latest range in the Neutrogena line up – Neutrogena Ageless. It is an anti-wrinkle and firming range of skincare so you know what that means. If you have other problems like oily skin or acne prone skin then anti-aging would likely be the least of your concerns. But if you are starting to show signs of aging (whatever your age) like fine lines, sagging or dull skin, then this is targeted at you.

New: Maybelline Hypersharp eyeliner, Crabtree & Evelyn x Hello Kitty, Neutrogena Sunscreen, L’Oreal Revitalift White SPF18 Day Cream, Vichy Normaderm Nuit cream, Canmake Cheek & Cheek Blush

June 18, 2011 Paris B 14 Comments

Saturday again Ladies!

Here are a couple of some new beauty bits spotted out and about, with some quick thoughts on those I have tried (or even those I haven’t because… why! I’m versatile that way! 😛 ) If you have tried any one of the products listed and want to contribute your 2 cents, please feel free to do so in the comments 😀

Maybelline Hypersharp Eyeliner

New to the Maybelline stables is the liquid eyeliner pen – Hypersharp eyeliner. Offering a very fine flexible nib and waterproof formula, this eyeliner pen is supposed to make it super easy to line one’s eyes. I haven’t reviewed it, but my favourite liquid liner pen is the Smashbox Liquid Eyeliner Pen. Very awesome for drawing a nice dark line that does not budge all day. I’m keen to see how this fares by comparison. You’ll know once I do!

Maybelline Hypersharp Eyeliner pen retails at RM23.90 at all Maybelline counters

Crabtree & Evelyn x Hello Kitty

I’m no fan of Hello Kitty but if you are, Crabtree & Evelyn have teamed up with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty for a range of exclusive Hello Kitty x Crabtree & Evelyn bags available as gifts with purchase between 15 June – 17 July 2011. The minimum purchase of RM250 will get you a Hello Kitty Cosmetic bag. To get the Rosewater x Hello Kitty bag (pictured right) minimum spend is RM450 and to get the large Iris x Hello Kitty bags (pictured left) minimum spend is RM1,000. Ouchies! Strictly for fans only I guess.

Guest Review: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream

April 28, 2010 Paris B 12 Comments

I love products that promise to hydrate your skin so the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost range did catch my eye…. and my nose. I knew my blog buddy Giddy Tigress might like to try it too so I sent her the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream last month to trial. Here is her review.

Give me any product with the word “hydro” in it, and I will definitely not hesitate to try it out. With the amount of air-conditioning most of us are exposed to, it is safe to say that most of us have some level of dehydrated skin, and can certainly benefit from some extra moisture.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel cream moisturizer

When I first saw the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel, I was reminded of how similar the tub looked like Clinique’s Total Turnaround Cream. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel 50g comes packaged in a blue crystal tub, with a matte silver cover. I opened it up to discover to my amusement, that the gel-like cream is also a light shade of blue!

Well, the first thing that I noticed was however, not the color of the gel, but rather the VERY strong scent it exudes. It’s not an unpleasant smell, but to me, it felt a tad pungent and quite *sharp*. I immediately tried a little on the back of my hand and was surprised that it made my skin smoother right away.

New Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisture Range

April 9, 2010 Paris B 22 Comments

How often have you had your skin analyzed and been told “Your skin is dehydrated – you need more moisture”? If you have oily skin, you might be thinking its a load of bollocks. Well, oily skin can be dehydrated too – you just don’t realize it because of the oil.

Realizing the need for moisture, Neutrogena has come up with a new Hydro Boost Moisture range of products. They are already available at local pharmacies.

The key ingredient in this range is hyaluronic acid – ah! There is that magical word again. We have been seeing it a lot lately haven’t we? 🙂

The star product in this range is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel cream which is light in its gel like texture although the fragrance is a little strong. I have my guest reviewer using this one so we will hear from her soon with her thoughts on this product – I haven’t tried it myself so I’m keen to know how good it is.
