Ah, Pink Cherie! Take lipstick to a new dimension with the Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick

August 28, 2013 Paris B 26 Comments

An anti-aging lipstick? Like the sound of that? Well, then you may want to take a look at the Mary Kay True Dimensions lipsticks.

These are touted to have a creamy texture reminiscent of the balm-lipstick hybrids we’ve been seeing a lot of, with the inclusion of a peptide that attracts moisture and boosts collagen production in the lips for the appearance of firm, smooth lips. So, you know I’m a lipstick buff – how did I like it?

In all honestly, the texture is quite pleasing and I can say, is very comfortable on. If you hate how lipsticks feel, you should take a look at these because they feel weightless yet have an almost opaque colour on lips, that isn’t drying at all.

The colour I have however, is less appealing to my senses. Pink Cherie is a bubblegum pink shade in tube that applies pretty much as it looks on lips. If you love pink lipstick then you will like this one. It has a youthful feel and pink lips are popularly known to make you look younger (the same way red lips can make a person look more mature). Another thing that makes this Mary Kay True Dimensions lipstick interesting is the packaging.

Mary Kay Celebrates Beauty that Counts with limited edition lipstick and lipgloss because One Woman Can

Mary Kay is a name not unfamiliar to many people. Its familiar to me, but much to my surprise, I have never in all my years come across a Mary Kay representative. Rather, I’ve never had anyone approach me to sell me the products, have you? 🙂 So its probably not surprising that I have not yet tried anything from the popular direct selling brand.

However, I have in recent times had people tell me to give some of their products a go. Mascara is one of them, as is their lipgloss and lipstick. I’m also told their eyeshadows are very impressive at a wallet friendly price tag, so that’s another item I’m quite interested in. Have you tried them?

But I digress, because what we’re on about today is the Mary Kay Beauty that Counts limited edition Nourishine Plus lip gloss in “Celebrate” and the Creme Lipstick in “One Woman Can” – although what I really wanted to say is “LOOK AT THE PRETTY SWIRLS!” 😀 I am put in mind of Raspberry Ripple ice cream.

New! Mary Kay Timewise Plus+ Regena Firm Intensive Serum and Correcting Eye Cream

October 12, 2012 Paris B 12 Comments

Mary Kay – not a brand I am familiar with, although its a name I have heard through the years. Mary Kay, as many of us know, is a brand of skincare and colour cosmetics that is sold by way of direct sales, through sales representatives they call Independent Beauty Consultants. I suppose I never tried anything from this brand, because I never knew anyone selling it! I just learnt that if I were really interested, I could actually call up the offices locally and be put in touch with someone. Fascinating. Your beauty supplies can come to you!

I recently found out that a friend works in Mary Kay (which is how the brand came on my radar a little while ago) and I also recently attended the launch of the new Mary Kay Timewise Plus+ Skincare range which consists now, of the Intensive Serum and Correcting Eye Cream.

Both these products, made in Korea, are targeted at helping skin look lifted, feel firmer and restore volume. This would therefore be in the “anti-aging” skincare category and you know what that means – some (ok ok many of you) may not need it just yet 😉
