These prettty Marc Jacobs Air Blush powders will leave your cheeks looking air-brushed!

August 31, 2018 Paris B 10 Comments

I’m surprised that the Marc Jacobs Air Blush doesn’t get more air-time. Aside from the quick flash in the pan when they were launched about 2 years back, they are surprisingly absent from most people’s Instagram shots. I thought they were Instagram-worthy, don’t you?

I was very fortunate to have been sent the blushes in a PR package, although to this day, I don’t know who sent them, and who I should thank. It niggles at me! I’ve shared them now and again online, but really, they deserve a feature on the blog, because these are one of my favourite blushes.

When you realise that I own a LARGE DRAWER filled with blushes, you’ll know that’s saying something! LOL! 😀

Want an eyeliner that won’t transfer at all? You want the Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayons

May 29, 2017 Paris B 10 Comments

Quite a few months ago, a giant box popped up on my door step all the way from the USA. No sender details, just like my mystery package from Bite last year. It was truly a mystery. But when I opened it, I let it a squeal of delight – and you know I don’t squeal.

Inside, was every single one of the (then) brand new Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon pencils! I was stoked and stumped all at once.

The Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon is the matte version of their bestselling Highliner Gel Eye Crayon, which contains shimmer. While I had been very impressed by the Marc Jacobs liquid eyeliner, I had yet to try their pencil liners. This came at an opportune time, for I’ve been using colourful eyeliners in place of eyeshadow for a while – call it laziness or just a bit of apathy.

Oh and this is going to sound really trite, but these liners are AMAZING! I swear, they don’t transfer at all, not one bit! That is what impressed me the most. Let me show you how they hold up to water in my little experiment.

For a longlasting, intense lipstick, Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme is Je T’aime

July 11, 2016 Paris B 9 Comments

Does anyone talk about Marc Jacobs beauty anymore? I hardly see anyone talk about it these days, unlike when it was first released. Must be the new kid on the block effect. I haven’t been blown away by anything from the brand thus far, but I was recently urged to take a look at the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme range of lipstick.

So, during the last Sephora 20% off sale, this was my sole purchase.

What better time right? 😀

The Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme lipsticks are a range of creamy, pigmented lipstick that are supposed to give you longlasting colour and moisture. They come in sleek black packaging, with a tight magnetic cover. There is a silver ‘button’ in the design which I realised belatedly after I put up the picture above, that it was missing because it was turned the other way. Oops! 😛

But that’s not what you’re interested in right? What you really want to know is whether this might be the start of Part 2 of Creamy Lipsticks To Splurge On? 🙂

Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er : The Precision Pen Waterpoof Eyeliner that is a kind of magic!

June 30, 2014 Paris B 31 Comments

So, if I’m to be perfectly honest, the new Marc Jacobs Beauty line hasn’t been knocking my socks off. If I wore socks that is. They aren’t flying off my feet, at any rate. In fact, I’ve been rather underwhelmed by almost everything I’ve tried, so I haven’t even felt like talking about them (I know, I should and I’ll get round to it – just don’t hold your breathe lest you turn blue) So, the day I picked up the Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Waterproof Eyeliner, I had no expectations. Ok, I lie. I did. I expected it to be another disappointment.

But you know, someone needs to find my socks, because I’ve finally found something pretty impressive from the MJB line! 😀

For now, this liquid eyeliner comes in just 1 shade – Blacquer – which is touted to be the blackest black and to have extreme wear. I must say, they are accurate on all counts. I haven’t been wearing liquid eyeliner a lot, because I’m just not very good at controlling the pen. You know how it is.

You hold the liner pen with your shaky hands, draw a shaky line, try to rectify it and end up with eyeliner all over your lid, or a line thicker than Cleopatra’s. I’m just not good at it. But I have to say that this Marc Jacobs one, whilst hardly “magic” is relatively easy to use, draws a lovely dark black line and stays put all day. All. Damned. Day! No smudges, no running, no fading. Colour me impressed! 😀
