Cheers! It’s always happy hour for your skin with Leahlani Champagne Serum and Aloha Ambrosia Elixir

October 15, 2018 Paris B 2 Comments

Last year, I was very enamoured by a natural brand of skincare – Leahlani. I tried the famed Leahlani Mermaid Mask which I enjoyed using and will consider repurchasing. I also tried the other famed product, Siren Serum which I found wanting. Along the way, I had also acquired the Leahlani Champagne Serum and Aloha Ambrosia, which I’d been using off and on for a few months.

There was a lot to like about Leahlani. The products are natural, and are handmade in Hawaii. It was a lovely little indie brand with a beautiful aesthetic, intriguing products, and their products smell and feel divine. They were a pleasure to use.

Sometimes, I don’t know if I’m just being terribly picky, or if I’m a little cynical, but I tried so hard to like the Leahlani Champagne Serum and Aloha Ambrosia, but found one them coming up short – which was it? 🙁

Being lured by the Leahlani Siren Serum into pure Hawaiian sunshine

May 7, 2018 Paris B 1 Comment

A while ago, I picked up a bunch of Leahlani skincare products. Leahlani is an indie skincare brand that hails from Hawaii, made with natural ingredients and with a holistic slant to the brand and its products. I told you before about their most popular product – the Leahlani Mermaid Mask. But there was another one I came across, that received a lot of raves – the Leahlani Siren Serum.

The reason I was interested, is because the Leahlani Siren Serum says that it is for a radiant complexion. It is supposed to be a radiance-boosting serum, made of oils that are rich in Vitamin A and C, fatty acids and carotenoids that help promote cell regeneration and repair. It sounds promising. Besides, reviews were glowing. Pun intended LOL! 😀

Naturally therefore, I was very curious. I am always up to try something that promises skin radiance.

The Leahlani Skincare Mermaid Mask will have you looking like a denizen of the deep – but with nicer skin

I pride myself on being all adult and rational, and not falling for rainbows and glitter and only just went and did just that! For some reason, when I first came across Leahlani Skincare on Instagram (where all lemmings are born), I was drawn to it. Was it the pretty pastel packaging? Or perhaps the quirky names of products like “Siren Serum” or “Mermaid Mask”? Or perhaps the lovely, relaxed vibe the brand gave off. I could almost feel the warm, balmy Hawaiian breeze against my skin.

But I ran into a snag. It was very expensive to have it shipped to me here in Malaysia from Hawaii. So I heaved a regretful sigh, and resigned myself to admiring it from afar. Until one day, the brand popped up on one of my favourite etailers, and I hauled!

One of the first items I added to my cart was the famed Leahlani Mermaid Mask. Like unicorns, mermaids were enjoying their day in the sun for a spell, but it seems more shortlived. Unicorns are still going strong aren’t they? 😛

Leahlani Skincare is a natural skincare brand, with a holistic slant. The owner, Leah, wanted to create a skincare range that was not only good for the skin, but that people would enjoy using. Each item in the Leahlani Skincare range is a sensorial delight. The colours are different from what you’d see in most skincare, ranging from deep green in the Mermaid Mask, to the warm pink of the Bless Balm, and to the golden champagne liquid of Siren Serum. The glass packaging is luxurious and the scents are intoxicating, soothing and delicious. This is a brand I am definitely looking to delve further into, but I’ll kick off with the Leahlani Mermaid Mask.
