30 Days of Lip Colours Project: Did You Miss Any Or Have A Favourite?

August 30, 2011 Paris B 26 Comments

Before I go on, Happy Eid-ul Fitr / Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri to all Muslim readers! 😀 Enjoy your celebrations and the inevitable feasts 😀 I hope everyone else is enjoying the festive break wherever you are.

Ah, 4 months after I said I’d do a 30 Days of lip colours project, I’ve finally completed it. Yay for me 😛 Instead of boring everyone by going at it straight for 30 days as I did before, I opted to take it slow this time. Clearly, taking it slow means dragging it out but I’m glad I did, because in between, new lippies came into the picture which allowed me to showcase them (and give me an excuse to use them).

So by way of a round up, here are all 30 lip colours which include lipsticks and lip glosses. I will be on a break tomorrow (I’m presently away on vacation actually) but please come back in September. I have something terribly exciting lined up on the blog and I’m bursting to share the news. But it’ll have to wait till I get back 😉

Now, onto the 30 day project – did you miss any and do you have a favourite out of the 30 lip colours featured? Here are all 30 featured lip colours for your viewing pleasure.

Day 1-5 of 30 lipsticks

Day 1 – Burberry Lip Cover Lipstick in Delicate Rose No. 22

Day 2 – Rouge Dior Haute Color No. 880 Devilish Pink

Day 3 – Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Antigone No. 60

Day 4 – Mentholatum LipIce Water Colour in No. 03 Kissy Pink

Day 5 – Dior Addict No. 681 Icone

Day 10 of 30: Eyeko Liptastik Glossy Lip Pen in Hot Lips

May 16, 2011 Paris B 13 Comments

Hot Lips!

What an appropriate name for this lipstick in a pen by Eyeko. A while ago, I’d never have had the guts to wear this colour, but enboldened by the Dior Devilish Pink episode, I’m a little more comfortable wearing bright fuchsia on the lips 🙂

I picked this one up a while ago (which explains the wear on the colour) in a set. I believe there might be another one in red lying around somewhere. I really have to go and look it up! The lipstick comes in a chubby pencil form like a crayon. It reminds me a lot of the Clinique Chubby Pencils, except that these are strongly pigmented where Clinique’s is a sheer lipbalm.

Like Clinique’s, the Eyeko Liptastik Glossy Lip Pen twists up so no sharpening is needed, and it is a very handy little tool to slip into your bag. The clear cap and grey body does make it look a bit cheap though.

Eyeko Cherry Fat Balm : Who are you calling Fat then?

December 27, 2010 Paris B 24 Comments

You have to love a product name like “Fat Balm” I did which was why I bought into it from Eyeko. The Fat Balm is a little stick of coloured balm that you can use on lips and cheeks. Its good for those slick on and go moments, when you have no time in the mornings to primp.

I purchased it in 2 colours but the one I’m showing you today is Cherry. Why did I go for Cherry? Because Eyeko said it would give me red lips, and you know how I love red lips! You know how you say “Oh I can’t wear red lipstick! I look awful!” You know what? Give the Eyeko Fat Balm in Cherry a go, if you can. It gives you a very lovely sheer red lip that will slowly ease you into the world of red lipsticks 😀

The Eyeko Fat Balm is just a tiny fat stick of balm. In the picture below you can see just how tiny it is when held in the palm of my hand. You can use it on your lips as a tinted lip balm or also swipe it on your cheeks as a cream blush.

“Eyeko” the Eyeko Extra Glow Cream

September 20, 2010 Paris B 4 Comments

Eyeko’s Cream has a love-hate relationship with users if you read online reviews. I’d heard about it quite a few years ago, but had never tried it. It is touted as a 3 in 1 product – moisturizer, highlighter and eye cream. Personally, I’d say that this works best as a highlighter. If you place too much emphasis on the moisturizer and eye cream bit, you might be disappointed.

So now we’ve gotten that out of the way, let me tell you about the Eyeko Cream Extra Glow. This limited edition cream is the same as the original Eyeko Cream but with added shimmer. Scary thought? 😉 Don’t be. I didn’t notice the shimmer on my skin when applied. What I got was a glow.

This shimmery pink cream comes in a plastic tub which you either like or hate. I found it made the product look a little cheap. Packaging does matter. I think I’d prefer if this cream came in a tube 🙂

So, what is this really?! For me, its a cream highlighter. If you try to use it all over your face, you can risk looking like you fell face first into a pail of shimmer powder. So don’t.
