30 Days of Lip Colours Project: Did You Miss Any Or Have A Favourite?

August 30, 2011 Paris B 26 Comments

Before I go on, Happy Eid-ul Fitr / Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri to all Muslim readers! 😀 Enjoy your celebrations and the inevitable feasts 😀 I hope everyone else is enjoying the festive break wherever you are.

Ah, 4 months after I said I’d do a 30 Days of lip colours project, I’ve finally completed it. Yay for me 😛 Instead of boring everyone by going at it straight for 30 days as I did before, I opted to take it slow this time. Clearly, taking it slow means dragging it out but I’m glad I did, because in between, new lippies came into the picture which allowed me to showcase them (and give me an excuse to use them).

So by way of a round up, here are all 30 lip colours which include lipsticks and lip glosses. I will be on a break tomorrow (I’m presently away on vacation actually) but please come back in September. I have something terribly exciting lined up on the blog and I’m bursting to share the news. But it’ll have to wait till I get back 😉

Now, onto the 30 day project – did you miss any and do you have a favourite out of the 30 lip colours featured? Here are all 30 featured lip colours for your viewing pleasure.

Day 1-5 of 30 lipsticks

Day 1 – Burberry Lip Cover Lipstick in Delicate Rose No. 22

Day 2 – Rouge Dior Haute Color No. 880 Devilish Pink

Day 3 – Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Antigone No. 60

Day 4 – Mentholatum LipIce Water Colour in No. 03 Kissy Pink

Day 5 – Dior Addict No. 681 Icone

Day 25 of 30 : Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips Sweetberry Blossom No. 2

July 15, 2011 Paris B 14 Comments

So opinions are divided as to whether I can or cannot wear nude lips. I personally lean towards not quite pulling off the nude lip look, because I do prefer my colours 🙂 Even if I were to wear a sheer lip, I’d still go for something with a hint of pink or rose in it. Today’s lip feature is a coral coloured lip and a purchase made on a whim.

I don’t usually pay much attention to Etude House – all that pink in the store makes me feel a little ill. However, when I was in Korea, I had to stop in and after battling the crowds (honestly! Was everything in there free??) I came out feeling a little dazed and holding a Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips lipstick in No. 2 – Sweetberry Blossom.

Oh hello, clicky pen!

A Korean Haul to soothe the shopping Seoul

May 11, 2011 Paris B 65 Comments

Haha… I just know that there are some of you waiting for this post 🙂 Truth be told, I did not buy very much, relatively speaking 🙂 I did stumble on a sale going on at Lotte Department store where I picked up some very lovely winter jackets (down filled!) at 50,000 Won (about RM140 each!) so I’m dying to go on a winter holiday next LOL Otherwise, I wasn’t quite into buying clothes, shoes or accessories.

masks from korea

What I did return with a lot of, was face sheet masks. Everyone who has ever raved about how incredibly cheap face masks are in Korea were not wrong. I picked up different masks from the different Korean brands – Skin Food, TheFaceShop, ElishaCoy, Baviphat… just to name a few. The masks are usually sold in packs of 10 or 20 and I got them for between 10,000-20,000 won (RM14-28) a pack. This was a shared pack, and I took out quite a few for gifts and suchlike. Should have picked up more 😛

Review: Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher

April 14, 2009 Paris B 36 Comments

PB + Peach Blush = Love

Usually this equation holds true 🙂

I’m not one for gimmicky products and to me, the Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher falls into the category of gimmicky. A blush with a stamp pad applicator – definitely gimmicky makeup gadget!

etudepeach

However, I have the dubious honour of owning one such gimmicky product and rather liking it to boot! The Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher was purchased by me off Kahani of Soloverly who found it was not quite her. I was not taken in by the packaging but the colour in 05 – Happy Peach called my name.

What the Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher is is a blush pan with a foam sponge stamp spring loaded applicator. The cover screws shut and when you open it, it pops up a little due to the spring in the cover. I believe the screwing and unscrewing motion causes the sponge to rub against the colour so it transfers onto the sponge.
