You know what? Times are hard. As much as we want to enjoy our fancy schmancy shower gels, the fact is that fancy schmancy shower gels can cost a pretty penny. What I do now is reserve them for a special treat. For daily use, I’ve been using an affordable oldie but goodie – Dove Body Wash!

Review: Dove Dry Therapy Hair Conditioner

I’ve just finished up a tube of Dove Dry Therapy hair conditioner and realised that its pretty good stuff! So here’s a short review accompanied by an empty tube LOL…

Targeted at people with dry hair, I realised that when I was using it, my hair behaved better after showering (it was easier to comb), it fell into place nicely in the mornings and tangles were a thing of the past.

When I strayed and ended up with what could pass for a birds nest, Dove gently steered me back to the path of smooth manageable hair. It did not weigh down my hair nor make it feel oily. Scent is light and not overwhelming.Continue Reading

Review: Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

I don’t regularly use deodorant or anti-perspirant. Sorry… Is that TMI (Too Much Info)? LOL… Reason is mainly because I don’t feel the need to as I don’t have over active sweat glands nor BO <- at least I hope not 😛 and I grew up with the scare of breast cancer linked to deos etc.

However, recently I was offered to try the new Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth deodorant which is launching in the USA in May 2009.

Unlike other deodorants I’m used to seeing, the Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth tube is large. At 74g, much larger than normal. Definitely not something you can tote around in your purse. I wonder why they made it so large.

Its a deodorant stick that goes on with a dry feel. I like that. I don’t want to walk around with my arms stuck out at right angles to my body waiting for my deodorant to dry before I can put on my clothes 😛

The “Visibly Smooth” in the name refers to the pro-epil complex to help you feel stubble free for longer. Really? The sceptic in me raised an eyebrow.
