Ah, 4 months after I said I’d do a 30 Days of lip colours project, I’ve finally completed it. Yay for me 😛 Instead of boring everyone by going at it straight for 30 days as I did before, I opted to take it slow this time. Clearly, taking it slow means dragging it out but I’m glad I did, because in between, new lippies came into the picture which allowed me to showcase them (and give me an excuse to use them).

So by way of a round up, here are all 30 lip colours which include lipsticks and lip glosses. I will be on a break tomorrow (I’m presently away on vacation actually) but please come back in September. I have something terribly exciting lined up on the blog and I’m bursting to share the news. But it’ll have to wait till I get back 😉

Day 17 of 30: Dolce & Gabbana Ultra Shine Lipgloss Passion No. 120

I don’t know if we’ll ever see Dolce & Gabbana makeup enter our world here (they aren’t exactly mainstream). I was intrigued when I first knew about the brand, but not so intrigued as to actually commission a purchase of anything from the brand. However, I recently saw the Ultra Shine lipgloss going on sale on Strawberrynet (If you want to know why I shop there you may read here) and I took the plunge.

Oh darn!

I chose No. 120 Passion because it looked like a lovely pinky-red that might be more suitable as an everyday lip as opposed to Ruby which looked markedly redder. I’m glad I chose Passion. Its such a lovely colour!

The colour in the square tube is pretty much true to application. The tube itself is simple. Plain clear acrylic at the bottom with a gold cap embossed with the brand name. It actually reminds me a lot of the Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss but texture is quite dissimilar. This is luxury sparkly lipgloss in a tube!

A Peek at Le Metier de Beaute, Dolce & Gabbana, NARS and Giorgio Armani luxury beauties

Last weekend, I met up with a reader, Lee and it turned into an epic 6 hour gab fest. It was quite amazing really, considering it was the first time we’d met (rather like a blind date 😛 ). I failed to notice the time and it was only when the restaurant we were in started seeing the dinner crowd come in, that we shifted our butts 😛 I think the staff were so relieved to see us go! Parking at Bangsar Village killed my poor wallet though so we’re going to have to meet elsewhere for our marathon sessions next time! 😛

But what was significant about our meeting was that Lee very kindly lugged her traincase of beautiful high end makeup that we do not get here, so I could take a look at them! On that fateful day, my camera battery died. So what you have are mobile phone pictures, which she happily encouraged me to take and which I did… after I’d picked my jaw off the floor.
