PREVIEW: Infuse skin with Celestial Radiance with the Cle de Peau Beaute Autumn/Winter 2014 makeup collection

October 3, 2014 Paris B 27 Comments

Luxury cosmetics brand Clé de Peau Beauté recently released their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection which they call Celestial Radiance, a range dedicated to bringing out the radiant aura of your skin. The key new pieces are 8 brand new eyeshadow quads, and a brand new liquid foundation.

There are also new shades of lipstick in #210, #312 and #111 (I’d told you about their Extra Rich lipstick before this) (Refill RM145, Holder RM60) but they didn’t catch my eye becaue the colours were soft and muted in the beige category and I’m just not sold on colours like that. I do have to say that their lipsticks are quite impressive, although their price tags tend to be quite out of the reach of many of us since they persist in separating lipstick from holder.

My eye was drawn more to the eyeshadow quads which looked pretty so I’ll tell you a little about those, and the new liquid foundation, which I’m in love with!

Rose hues infuse the colours in the new Cle de Peau Extra Rich Lipstick

November 11, 2013 Paris B 32 Comments

About a couple of months ago, Cle de Peau Beaute, a luxury brand of cosmetics launched their new Extra Rich Lipstick. Cle de Peau is one of those brands that I look at from afar but never try because the prices stagger me. Trust me, it takes some doing, but it happens. But I knew about this brand because when I first started getting interested in using makeup, one of the things that kept cropping up over and over, was the Cle de Peau concealer. I still haven’t tried it.

But today, I’d like to share with you some pictures and swatches of the Cle de Peau Beaute Extra Rich Lipstick. That’s the case that you see there. Unique and certainly, quite unusual. I do find Cle de Peau’s fascination with geometrical designs and angles quite interesting because angles are hard and makeup isn’t.

The angular designs are also reflected in the lipsticks, which you’ll see below. Incidentally, the lipsticks and case are sold separately. Now brace yourself. These are luxury items 🙂

Cle de Peau Beaute Facial Service: You can’t buy it but its such a treat for the skin

March 18, 2013 Paris B 16 Comments

Cle de Peau Beaute is a brand I’ve always wanted to try but never summed up the guts to. Despite the French sounding name that means “key to beautiful skin”, this is a brand owned by Shiseido and belongs in the premier league. I once had the opportunity to try a Facial Contour Serum a couple of years ago, which I really liked, not because it did contour my face, but because it made me skin feel and look so smooth and firm. Couldn’t upkeep it though because of the price, so that was that 😛

But recently, I was given the opportunity to try something from Cle de Peau – their facial services. This is not a known fact that Cle de Peau offers facial services, but you can’t just waltz in, pay and book a slot. Facial services are “complimentary” with purchases.

I did find out that first time customers can experience their 60 minute “Soin de Beaute Intensive Facial” worth RM300 with a minimum RM250 purchase, and I thought it was a good way to introduce customers to the brand and its products. I will just tell you a little bit about the facial I had, which was a lovely experience, and you can tell me if you’ve ever tried anything from the brand.

Getting Cheeky this Leap Year with the Cle de Peau Beaute Cheek Brush

February 29, 2012 Paris B 43 Comments

Did you know that luxury brand Cle de Peau had makeup brushes? No? Yeah, well neither did I. In fact I can’t find any information about their brushes online, unless it’s lurking around in another language I can’t read. But fact is, I picked up a brush from Cle de Peau Beaute recently and I thought I’d share with you about it because I like it and it isn’t terribly pricey (relative to other similar brushes in its niche and the brand in general)

I picked up a Cle de Peau Cheek brush and Eye Brush from Strawberrynet because at that time, they were going for some crazy markdown price. I think the cheek brush was something like RM75 and the eye brush under RM50. They still have them online, but at a slightly higher price than I got it.

The brush I like is the Cheek Brush and although I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in the mail.
