I’ve been doing some research on the new Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks recently, because there’s been so much buzz about it. I thought I’d splurge on one but was told at the Chanel counter that its only coming in in April 2011 here. So, I’ll have to wait 🙂

But while I was looking around online, I could not help noticing how the ad for the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine and Dior Addict Be Iconic looked remarkably similar.

Both share the same handwritten cursive font under the product name. A bit of a case of “Twins Separated at Birth”? 😉 Even the textures sound similar.

I said quite often I was not going to get the Chanel Ombres Perlees de Chanel Eyeshadow palette. In fact, I went to the local counter multiple times to swatch it, and decided everytime that yep! I wasn’t about to get it. I had my eye on the Rose Tourbillon blush instead (which I found remarkably similar to Pink Explosion so really, I couldn’t justify getting that either!) But yet…

Save and Splurge : Shiny Pigmented Lipglosses

If you like shiny shimmery but pigmented lipglosses, I have a wonderful find for you! While playing around recently, I realised that we have a save and splurge in two brands of shiny shimmery but pigmented lipglosses! I showed you a save and splurge lipgloss edition before. Here’s another 🙂

Chanel Rouge Coco Camelia : A lipstick I can wear every day

A week… or was it two weeks ago, I teased you with a picture of the Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in Camelia #10.

I promised you swatches and I always try to keep to my promises 🙂 Now just quickly for those who are new, the Rouge Coco lipsticks by Chanel have a nice pigment and do not go on very glossy or shiny. I always feel that they are a very adult sort of lipstick. Not something frivolous, but something when worn makes you feel almost like a lady.

The packaging is lux as befits a luxury brand and I like the weight of the lipstick. Not super heavy or bulky, yet has a nice weight so it does not feel like a plaything.

#10 Camelia is a very wearable everyday colour. I’ve got a couple of swatches below 🙂
