I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there’s no two ways about it. I’ve heard the rumours going around that Vichy Laboratoires is pulling out of Malaysia and so I sent out my feelers to get the official word.

And its true.

Vichy Laboratoires is in fact pulling out and will be gone from Malaysia by March 2012. Waahhhh! 🙁 I’ve found some gems from the brand that I will miss very much. There is stock clearing going on at the Vichy counters, I’ve heard, where they have Buy 1 Free 1 on products and the like. I checked out one counter but it was basically wiped out so if you can get your hands on anything, here are a few things I like.

New! Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer Serum

There was a bit of a shake up about a month ago when fans of Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer serum discovered that their favourite exfoliating serum was being discontinued. DISCONTINUED?! You could hear the wails all up and down the Peninsular, all the way to East Malaysia 😉

But fear not for it was not in fact discontinued but reformulated. Clinique has taken their iconic serum and upped it a notch to (hopefully) make it better. This new(ish) serum performs the same functions as the old. It exfoliates the dead skin cells and helps promote skin renewal. With regular exfoliation, newer more radiant skin is revealed and with this new formula, you see results more quickly – within 4 weeks instead of 8 and you get clearer more radiant skin that glows from within.

Breakouts Met Their Waterloo With My Lethal Tea Tree Oil And Vichy Normaderm Combo!

Some of you may remember my wail of distress at combating a sudden attack of breakouts and pimples quite recently. I thank you all so much for your tips and advice but before I went to see a dermatologist, I made one last ditched attempt to wage my battle.

Thankfully, I won. *whew*

My deadly spot fighting combination was a mixture of tea tree oil and a tea tree oil cleanser, and a couple of products from Vichy Normaderm. I was actually going to give away the Vichy products to someone who might be more breakout prone than I am, but I’m glad I held onto it because I swear it helped my skin.

I also recently returned from a holiday with a pizza face, much to my horror. It must have been the polluted air or the daily sun exposure and sweat or just holiday stress and improper food and insuffucient sleep. But it was horrible to look in the mirror each evening and discover a new pimple sprouting. When I got home, 3 days of my lethal combination did the trick to stabilize things. *whew again*

I Might Be The Last One To Patch Up with the 3M Nexcare Acne Patch

I swear I’m the last person in the world to learn about the acne busting wonder that is the 3M Nexcare Acne Patch. In my defence, I did not have much need for this in recent years. Spots were obediently not prominently present and even if they were, popped and healed very quickly without incident. Until recently that is.

My recent bout with chin acne came to a head recently and with a few reader suggestions pushing me to try the Nexcare acne patches, I stopped by a pharmacy and picked one pack up. It was while poring over the box that I remembered lots of raves about this product about a year or two back when almost everyone had something good to say about this.

I must however add my praise to the chorus. This acne patch thingy is a right acne buster!
