When using the May Lindstrom The Pendulum Potion Complete Cleansing Oil, time slows

August 19, 2019 Paris B 6 Comments

I had a sample of the May Lindstrom Pendulum Potion when it was first launched. I cannot remember now how I came by it, but I guarded that little bottle with my life, because I loved it!

Yet, because it was so pricey, and May Lindstrom products became a little harder to come by on my usual shopping sites, I bided my time, using it sparingly.

But, I recently treated myself to the full-sized bottle, after coming across a website promotion that I couldn’t pass up on. It was one of the best purchases I’ve made to date 🙂

The simple, elegant and effective Dr. Sam’s Flawless Cleanser certainly lives up to its name!

May 29, 2019 Paris B 13 Comments

I first learnt of the 13-dot technique from UK dermatologist, Dr. Sam Bunting. I then found out that she had created a small and basic skincare line.

As she made so much sense in her videos (do watch her videos – they are about the only YouTube videos I watch), I was curious to try her products, and one of them is the highly vaunted Dr. Sam’s Flawless Cleanser. It was the first product in her skincare line.

It had also received many positive reviews from many reputable bloggers, and I was curious to see if it might live up to its hype 😉

Beauty hors d’oeuvres: Feed your skin the Murad Prebiotic Skincare power duo

May 1, 2019 Paris B 2 Comments

I don’t think you want to labour over another of my thesis-length posts today, so here’s just a (hopefully) quick beauty bite you can scan through.

Introducing a new range of products by Murad skincare, the Murad Prebiotic skincare range. I thought it was quite interesting, and you might too.

murad prebiotics skincare

A few years ago, I’d noticed a slow but steady increase in brands introducing prebiotic or probiotic skincare. However, I had a bad reaction when ingesting probiotics (a post that still generates A LOT of discussion and interest), so I was a little wary. But I noted to a friend that it was a trend to watch.

Interestingly, the prebiotics/probiotics skincare trend hasn’t exploded as quickly as I thought it would. Perhaps, it’s more like a slow burn, that may only come to a head in the next year or two. Perhaps it will peter out. Who knows.

But Dr. Murad has gotten in on this trend, and I think that means something!

For an affordable, gentle makeup remover or cleanser, look no further than the Hada Labo 3 in 1 Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water

April 12, 2019 Paris B 10 Comments

We haven’t heard of many new things coming out from Hada Labo in recent times, have we? It’s a brand I personally have an affinity with. If I had to recommend anyone something affordable, effective and easy to find, I usually tell people to try Hada Labo. I am after all also a big fan of their Premium Hydrating Lotion.

So, when I stumbled across news online about a new Hada Labo 3-in-1 Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Water, I perked up.

As good fortune would have it, I received a sample of this new micellar cleansing water and put it to work immediately!

It was quite literally, immediately. I showed it on Instagram Stories where I I used it for the first time, and talked briefly about my first impressions. It was quite recent, but it’s a cleansing product – it isn’t that complicated 😛

So, do I like it?
