This morning before I flew out the door, I rooted about in my bag to see what was adding to all that bulk and weight. And all these spilled out. Oops!
Hmm… its no wonder my bag was getting weighed down! In there were some random purchases I made over the past couple of weeks (yes WEEKS!) and also a couple of items I collected from makeup mule friends 🙂
I had so much fun doing empties posts but realised I mostly only managed to finish anything after about 2 months. However, July was an exception!
I’m on a roll! 😀 Here’s what they are, with quick recaps of what I thought of them.
We, here in Malaysia, have in addition to the introduction of newly designed coins, now have newly designed currency notes! They were just released at the beginning of the week, and I’ve just gotten my hands on the whole set.
Well ok, the photo only shows you 4 because I’d somehow forgotten to include the RM10 note. I’ve got the picture of the full set after the jump though 😀
The RM1 and RM5 notes are that new fangled polymer notes that are supposed to last longer, while the rest are still paper. Lovely and crisp and fresh from the mint!
These simple biscuits (or cookies, depending on which side of the Atlantic you come from 😉 ) are sold in large glass jars or big metal tins with a window in the front, and are sold by weight. Seeing these biscuits at a grocery store (or local kedai runcit) brought back a wave of memories of my childhood.
I’d cycle my bike down to the neighbourhood store, or go on a walk with my parents or late grandma and agonize over which biscuit I should pick. Should I go for the chocolate wafer, the gem biscuits with the pretty icing on top, the pineapple biscuits with the hard jam in the middle or the plain crackers sandwiched with cream? Argh! Decisions!
