Despite the rather deceptive Japanese sounding name, Eyeko is really from London – Hail Britannia! It means “Love” in Japanese though. Their nail polishes comes in adorably sized slim bottles in fashionable shades and best of all, come in a formula that is kind to your nails, being Toluene, Formaldehyde, DBP and camphor free. You do still get the strong “nail polish” smell though – guess nothing could be done about that 🙂
I loved the colours I was sent. But perhaps by now you’ve twigged that I like things that have a little twist to them. So it is no surprise really, that my heart went out to Vampira polish, described as “lust-worthy glossy black lacquer dripping with blood red shimmer”. Lust-worthy indeed!
I love how Vampira is not a straight black, but a black polish with red sparkles in them (if you can see it). It takes vampy and ups the ante so you aren’t just vamping it, you’re vamping it with style. Its absolutely gorgeous and absolutely fun and although I don’t wear nail polishes very much, I know will be reaching for Vampira whenever I want to do my nails. The picture shows 2 (badly painted) coats which is all you need to get opaque glossy colour. The formula is light and applies easily and quickly.
