I didn’t intend to go shoe shopping but you know how it is with unintentional shopping trips right? Sometimes, you just wander into a store and don’t know what you might find.

Better yet, you just never know what you might find… ON SALE! 😀

I noticed this pair of green pumps in a sale, but it wasn’t the colour or the interesting pebbled texture of the leather that caught my eye. It was the very interesting metal detail down the heel. All 4″ of it. You have to admit that it is most certainly eye catching 😉

Shoe Lust: Sergio Rossi Pumps

A couple of months ago, I was wandering around Starhill Gallery when I came upon the Sergio Rossi store. I’m not familiar with the shoe brand although I have heard of it. It just didn’t quite stay in my consciousness. But that evening, I peered in the window, saw an absolutely lovely pair of blue pumps (I don’t have blue pumps!) and a small sign with the 4 letter word we so love – S.A.L.E! So I stepped in.

I have not stopped lusting after the shoes since!

The shoes, even on sale, sported a 4 figure price tag so I was content to just try them on for size and comfort and walk away. It was the comfort level that really blew me away, because I could have sworn up and down that a shoe that looks like the one above, would not be comfortable. I mean, look at that spindly stiletto heel! That pointy tip! That height!

But you know, it was comfortable. Very comfortable! Darn 😛

This week, I noticed quite belatedly that my poor oft-used Clarks shoes were starting to look shabby around the heels. Therein lies the hazards of wearing your shoes while driving. It doesn’t help that I also walk a lot in them, and find myself stepping into holes, uneven surfaces and catching my heels on stuff. I’m a bit of a klutz – no Louboutins for me 😛

So, my heels look like crap 🙁 I also discovered that the heels were plastic and the white bits showing after the black overlay has been scraped off, looks terrible. I also discovered this belatedly before I had a dinner to attend.

What’s a girl to do then? Why, improvise of course! 😉

Absolutely Crazy over the Clarks Dollar Craze Shoes

In my shoe book, Clarks is filed under Comfy heels but boring designs. Ok, I’m being kind. Its more like “Clarks – Comfy but Frumpy” Tell me you disagree 😛 But some of the more recent designs are starting to catch my eye and when I spotted the ad for this pair of bright yellow heels, I just knew I HAD to have it. I just HAD TO!

Don’t you think they are adorable? Its ok if you don’t, I love them and I actually went and hunted them down right here in Malaysia. Oh yes, we get these here and if I might say so, they are just as adorable in real life! The shoe is suede which sent up a bit of warning bells. I’m not terribly good with wearing suede shoes because they tend to wear out faster and its hard to clean, and yellow is potentially going to be a mess if it gets dirty.

The only problem is I could not wear them. Boohoo! 🙁
