This hot hot summer, you don’t want to be without the new Chanel Ultra Le Teint Foundation (30 shades swatched!)

July 2, 2019 Paris B 17 Comments

Truth to tell, when I first got wind of the Chanel Ultra Le Teint foundation, I effected a slight grimace. But I promised myself that I’d consider it with an open mind.

The Chanel Ultra Le Teint foundation is touted to be an Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish foundation. In layspeak, it means that it’s a longwearing foundation with full coverage. Nothing that ticks my foundation boxes, but I promised myself – keep an open mind.

So um… I must confess that it’s really really grown on me! 😛

The Chanel Ultra Le Teint Foundation is practically the polar opposite of my other favourite recent release, the Chanel Water Fresh Tint. They could not be more dissimilar! Yet, they both have their place and serve their functions very well.

5 Things I Love : The randomness of life and interests

June 12, 2019 Paris B 15 Comments

There’s this thing about old-school style blogging that I love, and it is, that it doesn’t always have to be so compartmentalized. It doesn’t always have to be a full blown dedicated review post, or a full blown post dedicated to any one thing. It doesn’t always have to be optimized for SEO and trying to game the system.

Sometimes, it is just about the flow, about writing whatever comes to mind on this space we call ours, and sometimes, it is just about being random.

5 things i love

With this in mind, that’s what today’s post is really about. I’m just not in the right frame of mind to write about any one thing in particular, or do any in-depth research into anything. Instead, I’ll let the flow take me where it wants to go, and you can come along for the ride if you like 😀

My favourite makeup collection is here! So is the Chanel Les Beiges 2019 collection Les Indispensables?

May 24, 2019 Paris B 10 Comments

I have to admit to feeling a little beauty fatigue. There are only so many new makeup or skincare releases I can handle, before it begins to overwhelm. And before they start looking the same.

Yet, there is always one collection I look forward to every year – Chanel Les Beiges makeup collection.

chanel les beiges 2019

The Chanel Les Beiges collection is always like a breath of fresh air, with its predictability and basic, neutral hues. It is, in many ways, almost dull in its predictability.

But it is that predictability that I look forward to. When we are bombarded with bright colours and imagery in each different makeup collection, with polished, airbrushed and defined, almost cookie-cutter precision looks that accompany it; I feel the need to ground myself.

The Chanel Les Beiges collection, with its splash of neutral beige, and celebration of all that is natural and basic and neutral, is just that!

When you want cake but are watching your waistline, get instead the Pixi PixiGlow Cake

May 17, 2019 Paris B 4 Comments

If these PixiGlow Cake Blush Highlighter pans were cakes, they would be the largest cakes you’ve ever seen. These are to regular blushes, what a 3-tier, 3-foot tall frosted confection is to a mini cupcake.

I unfortunately did not show them in all their full glory, for which I must apologise.

But these PixiGlow Cake pans are so large, they are bigger than my hand, and will practically, last you forever and a day. Your grandchildren would likely be cooing over these as well 😀

These are excellent value, and quite pretty on skin to boot! So really, there is no excuse not to get them. Is there?
