My 3 Pillars of an anti-aging skincare routine

November 29, 2022 Paris B 14 Comments

pillars of anti aging skincare routine

You know what I love about skincare products and information these days? It’s that there is so much information out there, and so many products and brands that help us achieve what we want for our skin.

I used to broadly focus on 2 areas of skin concerns in the past – hydration and anti-aging. While trying to find products that suited this ‘anti-aging’ category, I realised that ‘anti-aging’ is such a broad category, with so many products that claim to be it. For my purposes, I decided to narrow it down further.

These days, there are 3 specific types of products in my skincare routine that I maintain to address my ‘anti-aging’ concerns. These concerns are primarily lines, skin firmness and dull skin.

Why would it concern me if I don’t make a fuss about growing older, you ask? Well, because I’m vain – as are most people! 😛 😀

Gentle and effective but does Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinoid Serum work out to 6.5% retinol on skin?

November 17, 2022 Paris B 2 Comments

sunday riley a+ high dose retinoid serum

I once proclaimed, after using Luna, that I wouldn’t use any other product from Sunday Riley.

Well, look who’s eating crow 😛 Whatever I thought about Luna and the rather sneaky marketing tactics of Sunday Riley, I have to admit that they manage to intrigue me enough to try their products time after time (see the CEO face oil and Vitamin C serum). And I usually hate to admit it, but I do like what I try, for the most part.

The Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinoid Serum is highly raved, and it was one I had purchased as part of a value set. I did enjoy using the Luna oil, and this is supposed to be even better. I also had a few people tell me that they loved this one to bits, so I was high on my to-try list!

The Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum joins the legions of Vitamin C serums to try

murad vita-c glycolic brightening serum

I’m a huge huge fan of Vitamin C serums, as many of you know, but I had not been using one in my skincare routine for a while. I put it down to laziness.

Wot? Me, lazy?

Yes, it happens to the best of us 😛

I try not to stockpile Vitamin C serums, because it’s quite an unstable ingredient, if served at maximum potency. Extremely effective, but unstable.

When doing my skincare audit of my stash, which I do from time to time, I dug out the Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum. Incidentally, when I shared a picture of it on Instagram recently, there was so much interest in it, I just had to bump up my review 😀
