Most of you know by now what a big fan I am of Antipodes skincare. Barring one or two items in the product range, I usually love everything carried by the brand, and I look forward to new releases from them.

When I came across the new Antipodes Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream, I was very intrigued.

Primarily, I was intrigued at the use of probiotics in the formula. I’d been reading about probiotics in skincare for a while, but there aren’t many brands I know, that use it.

Ultimately though, I had my reservations about the Antipodes Culture Probiotic night cream, and it had nothing to do with the probiotics 🙂

Pamper and treat dry skin on hands and body with the Natura Castanha Nourishing Hand Cream and Body Lotion

Ever since being introduced to Natura, I have been quite a big fan of the brand, especially their hair and body products. The Natura Murumuru Shampoo and Conditioner is amazing for dry, frizzy hair!

But I wanted to tell you of one of the nicest body products I’ve used in recent times – the Natura Castanha Body Lotion and Castanha Nourishing Hand Cream. LOVE!

I’ve never been one to use a body lotion or hand cream very much. But since getting a little older, and exposing myself more to the sun, I’ve realised that you can’t just treat your face and neglect the rest of you. If you want to look good, and age gracefully, you need to care for your arms and hands too.

And in our hot and humid tropical weather, you want something that isn’t sticky or greasy.

It has quite literally been YEARS since I last went for a proper facial!

Pre-pandemic, I never found a salon or service I was happy to settle with. I have rather particular preferences for facials (I must know the brand of products used, for example) and it was very hard finding one that met my requirements.

Post-pandemic, well, it speaks for itself really. I was in no frame of mind to go for a facial, especially as it requires both me and my facial therapist to be in close quarters.

However, a few months back, I was invited by Elemis Malaysia to try their newly launched Elemis Biotec Facial service. Elemis is a brand that I enjoy using very much, and I’d read a lot about their facial services in London. After a lot of thought, I agreed to try the facial. It was not without a lot of trepidation on my part, health-wise.

Part of the reason I agreed, was because I wanted a little break, and a glimpse of normalcy. The other part was because I had been in the market for a facial using products I was familiar with, and also using machines/microcurrent technology, and the Elemis Biotec Facial fit the bill!

Here’s a little funny personal backstory to my receiving the Chanel Sublimage Le Baume.

When I first heard of it, I immediately thought that it would be a balm cleanser, and I LOVE balm cleansers! It did strike me a little odd that there would be a balm cleanser when there already exists the Sublimage Gel-to-Oil cleanser (which I LOVE!), but I did not think much of it. Who can fathom how brands think anyway?!

So, when the Sublimage Le Baume dropped in my lap, I did a double-take. This was not a cleansing balm!

A quick frantic read of the literature revealed to me that the Sublimage Le Baume was, in fact, a balm moisturiser!

I must confess that this dry-skinned gal got even more excited at the thought of a balm moisturiser, than I did at the thought of a balm cleanser! 😀
