I’m on the last dregs of my bottle of the Oskia Super 16 Advanced Nutri-Active Collagen Serum, and I’m already dreading the day that I squeeze out the last drop.

This serum was a game-changer for me, when I was looking to treat my skin after a long bout of neglect. It was what reminded me that I did not need a drastic change in routine to care for my skin, nor a long, elaborate routine.
What I needed was a good skincare product, and a comfortable moisturiser to seal in the goodness, and all would be well.
Oskia Super 16 Advanced Nutri-Active Collagen Serum
The Oskia Super 16 serum is an anti-aging serum that boosts collagen synthesis, lifts and firms the skin and reduced fine lines, while providing hydration and anti-oxidant protection. The 16 in the name comes from 16 super nutrients and bio-actives in the product.
From their website, this is the key ingredients in the Oskia Super 16 serum.
- Lupid Seed Extract increases collagen synthesis, helping to restore the skin’s elasticity & firmness.
- Bakuchiol (derived from Babchi seeds) has been traditionally used in India for centuries for health and healing. It leaves skin firmer, calmer, lines reduced, elasticity improved (by boosting and regulating Type 1, III & IV collagen) and ideal for sensitive or problematic skin.
- Opuntia Ficus-Indica Extract (a beautiful organic cactus) rich in highly anti-oxidant Piscidic Acid and Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 & C, blocks the release of stress markers from nerve cells to calm irritated skin while providing soothing & firming benefits.
- Vitamin A Palmitate improves the appearance of mature & sun damaged skin without irritation.
- Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and plumps to reduce the appearance of fine lines
- Vitamins C & E deliver high level anti-oxidant benefits.
- Crithmum Seaweed Extract helps detoxify & restore tired skin.
- Punarnava Extract delivers immediate & long term soothing effects to help reduce redness & discomfort.
- OSKIA’s unique Moisturising Complex (OMC), together with Chondrus Crispus Seaweed Extract & Chicory Root hydrate, soften & refresh.
- Dimethyl Sulfone (MSM) boosts collagen & soothes.
What is interesting to me, is that it contains Vitamin A and C in one formula. Vitamin A is what is known as retinol, and having it together with Vitamin C was interesting to me. However, my personal belief is that the content of Vitamin A and C in the formula isn’t so high as to raise brows. It is there, but it isn’t there in such high percentages that it merits a separate mention (or they would have).
I am quite a fan of Oskia skincare, despite their rather steep price tag. And yes, their prices are rather eye-watering, especially after we do the necessary currency conversion. I love their Renaissance Mask and Cleansing Gel, and their Restoration Oil is the stuff of angels singing on skin.
When I added the Oskia Super 16 Serum into my routine, it was with high hopes, and it did not fail me!

Sleek and simple packaging
The packaging of the Oskia Super 16 Serum is very similar to that of the Restoration Oil. I’d bought this one some time ago, and had kept it, thinking it was a back-up bottle of Restoration Oil, only to realise that it wasn’t! 😛
It comes in a sleek dark blue bottle with a dropper delivery, which is effective and sensitive to pressure.
Lightweight texture sinks right into the skin
You’d think that a serum that’s so jam-packed with actives would be thick and sludgy, but it isn’t.
It is an opaque and lightweight serum that spreads beautifully and easily on skin, and sinks right in without any residue.
They don’t tell you how much to use, so when in doubt, I just go with 1 pump of the dropper. It is lovely and lush, so I apply it all over my face, and all the way down the decolletage. You want your neck and chest to be lovely and plump too, don’t you?
There is one thing I’m not so keen on though, and that is the scent. It is very strong, although it says that it is fragrance free. There is no fragrance in the list of ingredients, so it might be a scent from the product formulation. It smells natural, but strongly sweet, and I’m not such a bit fan of that.
Skin looks healthier with regular use
When I started using the Oskia Super 16 Serum, my skin was a mess. I’d been lax, lazy and unmotivated to care about my skincare or skin. I paid dearly for it with lots of breakouts, which naturally, stressed me out further. My skin was dry, dehydrated, and I had spots all over the place. A mess.
The Oskia Super 16 Serum entered my skincare routine at this time. It was a bit of a gamble for me, as I was using it on skin that was rather ravaged. It could only go one of two ways – better or worse.
Fortunately, it was the former LOL! 😛
What I noticed is that with a little TLC and change of diet and mental state, and by introducing the Oskia Super 16 Serum into my skincare routine, my skin started to heal. I chose not to include anything else into my routine at this time. No Vitamin C serums or hydrating serums – those came later.

My skin began to rebalance itself. Dry spots slowly disappeared, the tightness from dehydration began to ease. Breakouts stopped happening. Those were the most noticeable improvements. My skin looked and felt healthier and looked clearer and brighter. I later worked on further improvements with the CeraVe Vitamin C Serum.
Did my collagen production get boosted?
Honestly, I cannot say. I’m quite lucky in that my skin isn’t terribly saggy just yet and firmness isn’t much of an issue for me just yet.
There isn’t something so spectacular that I can point at it and say “Look! This is what it did for me!” Instead, it feels like an overall betterment (is there such a word?!) of the skin overall. It took time, but it works to just give you healthier looking skin, and really, who doesn’t want it?!
I was reminded of one serum when I was using this – the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum. It seems to perform similarly i.e. it gives an overall improvement to the skin. However, if I had to pick between the two, I’d go for the Oskia Super 16 Serum, simply because it’s just better. ANR is nice, and I’m a big fan of it. But in the face of Oskia Super 16 Serum, I’m just “ANR, who?!” 😀
For those who are looking for one serum that does it all, or for a good ‘anti-aging’ serum, and you’ve safely entered your mid-30’s, I’d say look no further than this Oskia Super 16 Serum – it’s a great no-brainer serum that does so much, you only need just the one serum in your routine.
IN A NUTSHELL
The Oskia Super 16 Advanced Nutri-Active Collagen Serum is a powerful multitasking serum that is perfect for those who want just one serum to treat all their aging concerns. The ingredients list is quite impressive, and the formulation is lovely and luxurious going on the skin. It sinks right into the skin without any residue. With regular use, I find that my skin feels and looks healthier. My breakouts are reduced, my skin looks brighter and healthier, hydration is improved and fine lines look reduced. You just look better, and you get it all with just 1 product instead of a slew of different products and potions. If you want a good anti-aging serum, look no further. The buck stops here.

Have you tried this Oskia Super 16 Serum by any chance? Any other Oskia products I should try?
As I said at the beginning, I’m on the last dregs of my bottle and I’m in despair LOL! I will wait and see if there are any sales on Cult Beauty or SpaceNK in the coming months before I replenish. Or, if you’re outside the UK, as I am, we save on the VAT anyway, so while it will still hurt the wallet to replenish, it won’t hurt as badly 😀

Cant wait to get my hands on this.
I just have one Q, can we buy skincare from overseas and get it delivered to Msia?
thanks!
I’m sold especially reading that it has Bakuchiol in it it. I’ve been reading on retinoid skincare and apparently this ingredient is a milder, cleaner version of retinol that is much well tolerated by sensitive skin. Can’t wait to try.
Oh wow, I’ve always been intrigued by the Estee Lauder serum and now that I think my skin could use a ‘boost’ I was considering purchasing it! Now I’ll have a think about this serum instead if you think its better!!!
