The natural and organic Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Renew Facial Cream made a huge difference to my skin!

July 19, 2021 Paris B 1 Comment

This is the second item I’ve tried from Evolve Organic Beauty, and like the first, I love it! Oh, is that a bit of a giveaway? LOL!

Regardless, I put the Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Renew Facial Cream into my routine at a time when my skin was going bonkers, and it reminded why I had to be careful to use a product that was suited for my skin type. I had been rather lax in the weeks and months before this.

I don’t know whether to blame malaise or just some form of stress, but I was at a point when I wasn’t quite caring about what I put on my face, as long as I put something on it. That was the root of my problem. I was being lazy, and trying take the easy way out, and my skin suffered as a result.

When I woke up one day, and decided that I had to be more careful and diligent, things started getting better. And I do have this cream to thank 🙂

Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Renew Facial Cream

Evolve Organic Beauty is a brand from the UK that I stumbled on quite by chance. It is a brand with natural and organic skincare, which isn’t a segment of the market I’m particularly drawn to, but which I’m impartial about. I have found that many face creams from natural and/or organic brands work well with my skin, so if it’s fairly affordable or reasonably priced, I’m happy to use them.

The Daily Renew Facial Cream is targeted at those with normal-dry skin, which is right up my alley. It is a lovely thick cream which isn’t heavy, and applies beautifully on the skin.

The key ingredients are hyaluronic acid and argan oil. Hyaluronic acid as we well know by now, is a key ingredient in a moisturiser, as it can attract and hold moisture in the skin, ensuring that your skin is kept well hydrated. Argan oil is high in vitamin E and fatty acids that is packed with antioxidants, and which moisturises and repairs skin.

On the face of it, I’d say that the product sounds pretty unremarkable. It sounds just like any other face cream in the market, doesn’t it?

But that’s where I was mistaken.

Light cream texture sinks into skin

I love the texture, which is that of a light cream. It is at once lush, and feels rich yet isn’t heavy. On my dry skin, it sinks in like a dream, yet has enough slip that I can afford a little light massage. You don’t need very much product either each time.

I use this in the day, which I find perfect, as the finish isn’t greasy nor does it leave a residue on the skin. I’ve used it at night as well, without too much issue. It is heavy enough to keep my skin moisturised through the night, yet light enough for me to use in the day. For me, this is perfect.

There is scent of vanilla and coconut, which isn’t cloying, so I forgive it. It smells very natural, and feels very natural. There is very little slip and slide of silicone and feels like how an emulsion-cream feels on the skin. It’s lovely!

Repairs dry skin and keeps it feeling moist and supple

As I previously shared, my skin was off kilter for a while.

I’d gotten lazy, and was just using a facial oil for night, and any random moisturiser in the day, not realising that it was just too light for my skin. When the realization dawned one day that I had to take some remedial action, and introduced the Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Renew Facial Cream into my routine, I noticed a difference.

My skin stopped feeling and looking so dry and dull. It felt moist and supple, and because it was now receiving sufficient moisture, it was repairing itself. I noticed a marked difference in my skin texture and appearance, and I had to attribute it to this cream.

If I had not been so slack before this, I might not have noticed as marked an improvement. What I might have noticed then was a preservation of my skin texture. It does make my skin feel lovely and moisturized and supple, and I love that!

As a facial cream, it ticks all the right boxes. It is comfortable on skin, it sinks in without feeling greasy or leaving any residue, it makes my skin feel so moisturized and supple, and it makes my skin look healthy. There is very little more you need from a face cream! 😀

I bought mine in a set/kit from Evolve Organic Beauty, and I’m more than happy to buy the full-sized version. In fact, I just might once I’m done, cos I just love how this feels! 😀

IN A NUTSHELL

The Evolve Organic Beauty Daily Renew Facial Cream for normal-dry skin is wonderful if you share the same skin type as I do. It sinks beautifully into the skin without feeling heavy and uncomfortable, and it makes skin feel moist and supple and comfortable. I am happy to use it both day and night, and it makes my skin feel amazing at either time. The texture is lovely, and the results are lovely too. There is very little more you’d want from a face cream.

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪
Been ages since I’ve gone to a big pasar malam ( Been ages since I’ve gone to a big pasar malam (night market). Popped by the one in SS2. Frenetic. Crowded. Lots of food and drink. Excellent good fun! 😆 Your eyes always want more than your stomach can handle. Ate a lot and bought even more food back home. Diet? What diet? 😂
Will have to admit that this serum from @drsambunt Will have to admit that this serum from @drsambunting had me curious about Azelaic acid. It’s a pretty good serum for brightening if Vit C isn’t quite your thing. It’s a 4-in-1 combo of pretty potent ingredients.

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
