I’ve been digging around in my skincare cupboard stash lately, and I’m loving the stuff I’m finding! I’m like “Why haven’t I used/discovered this before?!”
Well, it’s because I was always so fickle before haha! Serves me right!
One of the things I picked up, and refused to put down, fairly recently, is the Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream with Bitter Orange.
Mamonde is a brand I’ve come to enjoy using, as their products seem to suit me and my skin. The best part of course, is that it’s pretty affordable, albeit a little basic, but hey, sometimes, that’s all we really need 🙂
So what sold me on this Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream?
Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream
The Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream is targeted at recharging dull and fatigued skin, and therefore, brightening.
Mamonde, being a brand that derives their key ingredients from flowers, have used the Bitter Orange extract in this cream. The Bitter Orange flower is supposed to recharge moisture, and this extract, combined with Vitamin C, E, F, B3 and B5, forms a 7-vitamin complex to target brighter, clearer, more moisturized skin. (Don’t ask me which is the 7th vitamin. I couldn’t tell LOL! 😛 )
The cream is formulated with vitamin-infused capsules (invisible to my eyes) that burst on contact with skin, to rejuvenate and revitalize skin.
To be perfectly honest, when I first used it, I didn’t read up on it at all. I needed a moisturiser, and this was at hand. But after about 2 weeks, I found myself wondering “What have I been using? My skin looks and feels really nice!”
Lightweight gel-emulsion cream feels comfortable even on drier skin
While the name is “Vital Vitamin Cream”, it isn’t a cream in a true sense. It is more of a thick gel-emulsion.
At first glance, I wasn’t convinced. My experience with gel-emulsion cream textures is that it works passably well for my drier skin in the day, but doesn’t quite hit the spot.
Yet, I was pleasantly surprised.
I used this in the morning, and while I am generous, it just all sinks right into my skin, and leaves it feeling dewy. I wasn’t sure what that meant till now! It just feels lovely, moisturised, plumped and well, revitalized!
I tried using it at night as well. I do use facial oils at night, and I wasn’t too sure if this lightweight texture would be enough for my skin. But as it turns out, it was fine.
I’d wake up in the mornings with skin that isn’t dried out from air-conditioning, and it is comfortable. More than comfortable, it is actually very good! It seems to sink right into the skin, and plump it right up from within without feeling sticky at all.
Skin looks brighter and clearer
With all other products I use being constant, I have noticed that my skin looks better while using this Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream. I was using the Dr. Sam Bunting Flawless Moisturizer before this. It was good. But it didn’t give me the dewy glow that I get with this Mamonde cream.
I have also noticed that while using this moisturizer together with the Skinlex 2% Alpha-Abutin serum, my skin look much more even toned and brighter.

If what you’re after is something lightweight, that offers moisture to your skin without weighing it down, and something that brings clarity to your skin and making it look better and more alive, then the Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream is one to look at.
I am also a fan of the Mamonde Blue Chamomile Cream, which I think is really nice for drier skin types and those with more sensitive skin. But the effects I get from the Vital Vitamin Cream just edges it for now, because I’m all about skin clarity and radiance 😀
Mamonde makes good products. You may need a little patience for the results to show, but they are decent and well worth the money 😀
IN A NUTSHELL
The Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream is a gel-emulsion cream that is very lightweight on skin, and will suit those with oily or even dry skin types. With drier skin, you may need a layer of oil underneath, or use a little more and massage it in. It sinks it quickly without any residue. After almost 2 months of using just this cream, my skin has been dewy, moisturized and comfortable. Combined with other skin brightening serums, my skin remains clear and even toned, and maybe even more revitalized. It is comfortable, affordable and above all, effective. Well worth trying!

Have you tried this Mamonde Vital Vitamin Cream?
As much as I don’t use Korean skincare brands, I’m quite glad that Mamonde works for me. At least it’s affordable for those times when you just aren’t feeling like splurging on your skincare, but want a product that works 😀 Let me know what you’ve tried and liked (or not) from the brand?
