I was recently introduced to the brand new Cle de Peau Key Radiance Care skincare range, which was quite interesting for me. I’d never used Cle de Peau skincare before this!
The Cle de Peau Key Radiance Care will be the basic skincare range, that addresses issues relating to skin radiance. What every woman wants right?
I haven’t yet tried it, as it’s just only been launched. But here’s a little beauty tidbit about it for you, in case it might be something you might be thinking of exploring 🙂
Cle de Peau Key Radiance Care unlocks skin radiance
The key to this Cle de Peau Key Radiance Care line is the concept that our skin has an intuitive ability to repair and defend itself. Also, our bodies are known to follow the circadian rhythm that controls our biological rhythms based on day and night time.
Recognizing this, Cle de Peau has enhanced their Skin-Empowering Illuminator to, as CdP says, boost Skin Intelligence, so it is able to repair and defend itself better, and also to improve the skin condition based on day and night-time rhythms. It is, as CdP calls it, the key to unlock your skin radiance from within.
The new Skin-Empowering Illuminator ingredient combines Platinum Gold Silk Extract, Japanese Pearl Extract (both of which balances the skin from good and bad stimuli), Theanine, Perilla Extract (both of which protects skin from damage) and Angelica Acutiloba Extract (keeps cellular energy high).
This combination of key ingredients addresses dryness and damage from UV rays, boosts skin resilience, and boosts cellular energy. This will then result in more radiant skin, which is what forms the core of the range.
In a nutshell, the Cle de Peau Key Radiance Care line boosts skin radiance and moisture, and is suitable for everyone from 25 upwards. That’s practically all of us!
There are 4 products in the range currently, which I’ll run through quickly below.
Cle de Peau Beaute – The Serum RM750 for 30ml, RM1,200 for 50ml
I deem The Serum to be the star product, and quite possibly, the product I’m most interested to try.
The Serum comes in 2 sizes – 30ml and 50ml. It is formulated to be used in the FIRST STEP of your skincare, after cleansing. I thought it was intriguing.
The Serum targets dryness, and they say that with prolonged use, skin will feel softer and smoother, more supple and more healthy.
It has a light, gel-like texture, that absorbs quickly and easily into the skin, and like most light gel textured products, does make skin feel instantly hydrated.
The Serum, I’m told, is the key that unlocks your skin, to allow for better product absorption. This is why it is the first product you apply.
I’ll take this one for a spin and let you know what I think about it! I think my interest has also partially to do with the price tag LOL! 😛
Cle de Peau Hydro-Softening Lotion – RM470 for 170ml
The Hydro-Softening Lotion forms the second step in the Cle de Peau Key Radiance Care routine.
I view this rather like a moisturizing lotion, which is something found quite often in Japanese skincare lines. It has a more emollient feel, for a lotion, and targets dehydrated skin. It also smoothens rough skin and diminishes the look of pores for a more even, refined appearance.
They do recommend that you use a cotton pad with this, smoothing the product over skin, after The Serum.
Cle de Peau Protective Fortifying Emulsion – RM490 for 125ml
This is basically the day moisturiser. Japanese brands often use an emulsion for their moisturizers. I’m told a cream version also exists.
There is supposed to be UV protection in this product as well, although they don’t say how much. For this reason, I’d just take it with a pinch of salt, and use a sunscreen separately. But then, don’t you already do? 😛
I find the texture of this one a little light. It has a milky emulsion texture, which sinks into skin nicely and comfortably. However, on my drier skin, I have a sneaky suspicion that it may not be enough. Still, I’ll try it and let you know!
Cle de Peau Intensive Fortifying Emulsion – RM550 for 125ml
The night moisturizer comes in the beautiful dark blue bottle. It too is a milky emulsion that sinks into skin easily.
It seems to be a bit of a multi-tasker, not only targeting fine lines, but also boosting skin strength and resilience, protecting skin from loss of hydration, repairing skin from the daily aggressors, and boosting radiance.
Cle de Peau Key Radiance – Luxury personified!
If you’re clutching your pearls at this point, having seen the price tags, believe me, you aren’t alone.
While I subscribe to the theory that you don’t have to pay top dollar for an effective skincare product, I am also aware that there are people who are willing to. To that I say, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
My preference does lie towards science-based skincare that contain active ingredients, but it is not beyond me to try something that is a little more mainstream in its approach and selection of ingredients. I personally see nothing wrong in either approach – it’s all how we want to spend our money! 🙂
Have you tried any Cle de Peau skincare products?
I’ll report back in a few months about how I feel about the products, once I’ve been able to have a go. I know for a fact that The Serum is the one that has me most fascinated!

U should go and try out their foundation. The cream in a tube
radiant foundation. It’s the best I have ever came across. I literally look perfect like an elf. And it has this power to stay on and actually make my skin more luminous as the day goes by.
Even the Chanel one was not as wowed. (I went to the boutique to try out after reading your post that day)
I went home with cpb concealer instead in the end coz of the foundation price tag.. it’s 410rm for 21g. But if I ever gonna buy one and only foundation that is it.

Oh I love their Radiant Fluid Foundation! It was my photoshop in a bottle 😀 I haven’t tried the cream yet but now you have me curious! Bad Gin LOL! 😀 Do you like the CdP concealer? I have it too, the one in the stick, and it’s actually not bad. Not as drying as I thought it would be, or that people have told me it is.
Gin says
Yeah the stick concealer. It’s the only concealer I use now. Surprisingly work well for both under eye and pimples. And a little goes a long way =)
If the bottle foundation is Photoshop 50% the cream is like 100%.
Depends on your personal preference but I love the cream. Have yet to find anything like it. It’s thicker in consistency but very comfortable and not pore clogging. And the luminosity is to die for. Can’t rave it enough haha. I would probably buy after saving and at those tax free counter.
Paris B says
HAHA OK you have me sold on trying the cream foundation. The one in the tube you say? I’ll go have a look and if I go home with it, it’ll be purely your fault 😛 And you are right about the concealer. I used to be worried it might be too thick or drying. But surprisingly, it works well enough for me 🙂
Gin says
Hahahaha u have influenced so many of us, it’s time u get influenced once in a while! But really is personal preference. The cream has full coverage. Which u might not enjoy as much … From your preference all this while. Hahaha but I love it. The glow ?

I’m using their cream foundation, the one with the diamond looking bottle cap. I like having a natural look with some flaws showing through my foundation so I don’t use much and love it. Though in a bottle, the cream foundation is not that thick and applies more like a moisturizer. Due to its rather liquidy consistency application with brush is much better than beauty blender which seems to drink up the product.

I’ve heard a billion good things about the cream foundation too! But man, the price tag is staggering! LOL But between the both of you, I’m SUPER DUPER CURIOUS NOW, thanks! 😛 LOL!

Hi I comes under oily/combination skin ,will this above products of cle de peau suit to my skin type ?,how you felt about this skin care ,insaw that this post is from 2019,I hope that you made your review on this ,plz share your thoughts. Thank you

Hi, I haven’t reviewed them yet. I personally find the products a little light, so if you have oily/combination skin, it might suit you better than it did me. I think it is decent, but the price tag is far too offputting to justify buying a whole range, and there’s no one product in the range that stood out to me. It’s nice to use, but I think there are better products that aren’t as expensive out there.

I agree, the price tag is off-putting! What’s a good alternative to this range? Especially for serum and day moisturizer?
Paris B says
I think much depends on what you are looking for in terms of a serum and moisturizer. I don’t use a ‘one-size-fits-all’ serum anymore, as I use Vitamin C and hydration serums in the morning, and a retinol/glycolic acid/antiaging serum at night. So, I cannot tell you what might be exact substitutions. I have shared quite a few thoughts on various serums and moisturizers over the years, so unless you have a specific concern/budget in mind, running through some of my previous reviews might help you make a decision 🙂 You can check out serums here and moisturizers here.
