Beauty hors d’oeuvres: Boost skin energy and recover your glow with the new Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum

May 22, 2019 Paris B Leave a Comment

If red be the colour of energy and life, then it is most apt that the newly launched Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum comes in a striking red glass bottle.

mamonde red energy serum

The Red Energy range is a new range within the affordable Korean Mamonde brand. It presently features just one product – the Red Energy Recovery Serum, that is targeted at revitalizing the skin.

Red Blossoming Energy™

Within the Mamonde Red Energy Recovery serum is an ingredient they call Blossoming Energy™. Yes, it’s trademarked.

Blossoming Energy™ is an active ingredient that boosts skin energy, so it remains healthier, and bounces back from tiredness more quickly. Mamonde says they discovered this extract after 28 years of research, where the observation of flowers (that form the heart of Mamonde products) resulted in them discovering a component that allows flowers to bloom and last longer than usual.

To be honest, because we are humans and not flowers, I am sceptical about applying results derived from vegetation to human skin. But they seem to have done their research, so I’ll take it at face value 😛

Tired skin is easy to see. It is when you lose your glow, your skin looks dull, and it usually coincides with a period of high stress, illness, bad sleeping habits or poor sleep and general tiredness.

For me, one of the easiest ways to bounce back, is to lock myself away for a couple of days, and get lots and lots of quiet, rest and sleep. But not all of us have that luxury of time.

Enter then serums like this Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum, with its
Blossoming Energy™ and pomegranate extracts, to help your skin recover its lost energy, vitality and glow, even if you feel like a piece of turd LOL 😛

Pomegranate and its extracts are known to be antioxidants, so it serves to protect skin from external aggressions, and helps it recover more quickly.

Lightweight Texture and Quick Results Promised

The texture of the serum is light and comfortable. It is a white semi-opaque serum that absorbs easily into the skin. It also feels quite hydrating, which is nice, and generally feels comfortable.

Mamonde says that results can be expected in as little as 5 days. Again, I am generally sceptical, because our skin does need at least 28 days to renew itself (longer if you’re older). But I will try it, and if it does show a result in 5 days, I’ll let you know. If it doesn’t, they can expect to hear from me 😛

My scepticism aside, this Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum does feel like a comfortable product. If it delivers more revitalized skin as promised, then I think it will be quite impressive.

Who might benefit most from the Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum?

I feel that this isn’t quite targeted at those with more matured skin types. Those of us with more matured skin need something more potent, to deliver results.

I’d peg this one therefore at those between 25-35. Those who might be building their career and are prone to spending late nights at work, and then having an active social life alongside. All this activity takes a toll on our skin, and that’s when you need that little extra boost.

Enter then, Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum, so you look well rested and revitalized, even if you’re dying a little inside LOL! 😀

Have you tested the Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum? Interested to?
