If you’ve been around MWS a while, you’d know about my fondness for Guerlain’s lip products (and obsession with Meteorites!). Their Rouge G lipsticks are a gold standard for bold, intense, creamy and longlasting lip colours (their reds are second to none!). On a slightly less intense note, I’d been enjoying my time with the KissKiss lipsticks too. Beautiful textures and colours. But when I spotted their new limited edition colourful packaging in the Guerlain KissKiss Colours of Kisses range, I flipped!
I’d snagged myself one, and was thoroughly enjoying using it, when another 2 arrived, courtesy of Guerlain. So, naturally I have to now tell you about them 🙂
The Guerlain KissKiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colour usually comes in a glossy black case, in a similar design. I have been quite a fan of it for years, since their launch. I just never quite got round to talking about them, because it’s one of those things. I only have so much space (and time) that things fall by the wayside.
Or maybe it’s because I’ve been keeping it to myself as a little secret 😉
The KissKiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colour boasts a lightweight, but creamy texture on lips. If you enjoy wearing lipsticks that apply smoothly and fairly strongly in one swipe, but are not matte, then these will be one you want to look into.
The limited edition packaging mirrors the colour of the lipstick, and as you can see, they get it totally on point! The colour of the bullet is mirrored on the case, punctuated with elegant gold accents.
It makes it a gem to look at, easy to find in your bag and easy to pick out the colour you want.
I must say that quite typically of Guerlain, few brands manage to turn out something so fun and playful, yet with a luxurious heft, and appearance. Often, something gives, and usually, that’s the luxury factor. It is so easy to descend into tacky, but Guerlain pulls this off with aplomb!
These Guerlain KissKiss Colours of Kisses lipsticks will look quite at home in the hands of a younger girl, as they will in the hands of a matured woman. The colours too are bright, bold and attractive, and will look good on almost anyone!
There are 5 shades available in the Colours of Kisses collection, and I have 3 here. Fortuitously, I was not sent a duplicate of the one I’d purchased, so we have some variety 🙂
- 343 Sugar Kiss – This one’s my favourite, a watermelon pink that is fun and youthful and brightens up the complexion. Naturally, this is the one I picked up because it’s the one that most attracted me! 😀
- 344 Sexy Coral – This swatches as a more orange based coral, which isn’t a colour I’d typically wear nor pick for myself. On me, I do detect just enough pink to make it work.
- 361 Excessive Rose – A bright fuchsia pink, I am leery of colours like this as it brings out the yellow in my teeth and my skin. But it does deliver quite a punch of colour.
My favourite, is 343 Sugar Kiss which I had been wearing for weeks. While I wear red lipstick like a boss, I have been favouring slightly lighter shades in recent times. I rarely wear pinks but this version of pink has swayed me. I can definitely see myself getting more similar shades 🙂
I didn’t have time to do face swatches, so you’d have to use your imagination LOL! I’m sure you’d manage, or you can always pop down to one of the counters to take a look for yourself.
As you can see from the swatches, which were made with just one swipe from the bullet, the texture is lovely and creamy and pigmented. Yet, it is lightweight and not drying. There is a little sheen, which I like. I’m not a fan of matte lip colours. If you are, then you may not be as enamoured with these as I am.
Unlike most creamy lipstick however, the Guerlain KissKiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colours do not travel nor smear everywhere. They last on me for hours and I like the brightness of the colours, which are both youthful and attractive.
Do note that while the packaging of these Kiss Kiss Colours of Kisses lipsticks are limited edition, the colours are not. So, if you miss out on them, you can still get the lipstick shade you prefer, except in a black lacquered case. Far more elegant, if you ask me, albeit not as much fun 🙂
I know for a fact that these Guerlain KissKiss Colours of Kisses lipsticks are still around. I’ve seen them in Sephora so you can look there 😉 Maybe you’ll find something fun and pretty for this festive season 😉
IN A NUTSHELL
The Guerlain KissKiss Colours of Kisses lipsticks are 5 of the KissKiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colours in limited edition packaging. The colour of the lipstick case mirrors the colour of the bullet inside, and it’s beautiful and fun! If you miss out on the colours, you can still get the same lipstick in the regular black case. The texture of the Kiss Kiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colours is lightweight yet creamy and pigmented. They are not drying, and last well on me. Save for the usual vanilla-floral scent which I’m not a fan of, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these lipsticks!

Did you notice these Guerlain KissKiss Colours of Kisses lipstick?
To be honest, compared to the alternatives out there, the prices aren’t as much of a shock to the system. The Rouge G on the other hand… 😀

Same here too….modelling pic please! 🙂 They all look wearable except Excessive Pink….living to its name, too pink for my liking. How does Kiss Kiss range compare with Rouge G?
Paris B says
haha OK I’ll find time soon to take some pix and update 🙂 Kiss Kiss is lighter than Rouge G. Less intense (but not sheer) and less creamy, with more slip. Rouge G is like what Kiss Kiss would be when grown up LOL!

I really want to get this, especially because of the bright LE packaging, but my rational side is backing away from the price tag… It can be hard to choose between Sugar Kiss and Sexy Coral. XD

It’s available at Sephora and when they do their sales or give discounts, that’s a good time to pick it up 😉 Or there are other international websites that stock it too, that often go on sale, especially now that it’s the year end 😉
