Despite the name you can use the Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day UV Sunscreen everyday not just on Sunday

Firstly, apologies for the silence across the board. I’m just going through stuff right now that I would probably talk about some day, but today isn’t the day. Instead, I’m going to slip into the familiar, like a pair of soft, old, PJs and muse about a subject dear to my heart – sunscreen. And the sunscreen of choice is Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day UV Sunscreen.

To be honest, I’d never have thought to try this one, simply because I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to sunscreen. I like using what works, because what doesn’t work can screw things up something awful for me.

This Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day UV Sunscreen was a very generous gift from a reader who I met some time last year. For a time, I had a good time scheduling little lunch and coffee meet-ups with quite many of you, some of whom I’ve continued being friends with since. You never know how it turns out till you try, I say 🙂

But this reader shared with me this Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day UV Sunscreen because it was one she enjoyed using and she wanted me to try it for myself. I eventually did a few months ago!

Eat at Chez PB: Salmon Fish Cakes

Confession time. I don’t like eating salmon.

Unless it’s sashimi. But cooked salmon does not appeal to me at all. So, why on earth I ended up with a piece of salmon fillet in my freezer boggles my mind!

In an effort to make it work, I decided decided to try something – Salmon Fish Cakes or Salmon Patties. I do like fish cakes, or fish patties. It is always a nice accompaniment to make a salad more substantial, or to have it with pasta, in a sandwich or heck, just as a snack!

It turned out quite a treat, and is really quite easy, so I thought I’d share it with you 🙂

Relaunched for 2018 the new Clarins Extra Firming Cream for All Skin Types is quite peachy

Gonna be honest about the new Clarins Extra-Firming creams range. I wasn’t expecting very much. I don’t remember ever trying their previous version, but that’s water under the bridge, because Clarins has just released their newly reformulated Extra-Firming cream range with 5 different variants to suit different skin types. How about that for dedication to customization!

Why wasn’t I prepared to like this one? Well, not because it’s not any good – on the contrary, Clarins skincare products are pretty effective and generally well-formulated.

The primary reason was due to the fragrance. Like most French skincare brands, Clarins products tend to fall on the side of being over-fragranced. While my skin is not too bothered, my nose is. I’m just a little more sensitive that way. The secondary reason is texture. I tend to be troubled by the heavier, silicone feel of many department store creams out there.

And that was how I felt during the launch of the Clarins Extra-Firming creams about 2 months ago. Still, in the spirit of experimentation, I dug into the creams. And much to my surprise, they’ve really grown on me! 😀
