Hey guys, you did not actually think I’d allow that 10 year milestone to pass me by without commemorating it in some way, right?! Pish! Perish the thought!
I originally had more lofty plans to celebrate 10 years of blogging, including throwing a little party, but for various reasons, I put those plans to bed (but if you want to help or sponsor something, let’s talk! I can’t do it alone). Instead, I decided to give back to you, lovely readers. And it comes in the form of a humungous beauty hamper.
I’d stopped running giveaways here on MWS for a while now, because they just weren’t appreciated (fact). There, said it, and despite what people kept telling me, it affects how I consider giveaways. But I wanted to find a way to give back, and this was the easiest way.
In this very special My Women Stuff 10th Anniversary giveaway, I have a hamper of full sized beauty products that I specially handpicked from different brands. They are ALL products I personally use and still use and in some cases, use often and keep back ups of. If you’ve been with me, none of them will come as a surprise and you may even find yourself nodding along to each of them, as you would an old friend.
I have 4 5 sets for 4 5 very lucky MWS readers, so here’s what you will stand to win and how you can participate. There is one more opportunity going out, but you’d have to be in the know for that one, so you might want to get on the ball, coz if you’re in the know, you’re in the know! 😉
In this very special giveaway to celebrate 10 years of blogging on My Women Stuff I have specially selected and hand-picked the following gifts worth a little over RM2600 (US$600) made possible thanks to various sponsors named below:-
- Alpha-H Liquid Gold (review) – Sponsored by me because we can’t get this here in Malaysia readily. This is a product I am never without, and one I pick and use often for my lazy evening routine. I always have a bottle on hand, and now you can too! This is the 100ml bottle which will last you a while.
- La Mer The Treatment Lotion (review) – Kindly sponsored by La Mer Malaysia, I specifically requested for this item because I love how it gives my skin that lovely boost of hydration that makes other products work so much more effectively. I believe this will work for most skin types which is why I picked this one. I have back ups, and I rarely ever have back ups of anything!
- Melvita Nectar Supreme La Creme (review) – I’m not that crazy about organic products but when they work, they work! I enjoyed using this cream which is comfortable on my skin and gives it the nourishment it needs and craves in the evening, and it lasts a surprisingly long time. I wasn’t expecting very much, but it impressed me enough to be included in this beauty hamper. Thank you Melvita Malaysia! For oilier skin types, you may want to use just a tiny bit, or reserve it for evening use only.
- Dior J’adore Eau de Toilette (review) – I often say I’m not into floral perfumes or jasmine scents but for some reason, I adore J’Adore by Dior, that is both floral and has jasmine at its heart. But I’ve loved this for years and it’s the one I find myself reaching for the most often as I head out the door. It’s the one I have as a travel purse spray in my daily makeup pouch. It’s the one that makes me feel so lovely and feminine and it’s the one I just knew I wanted you to have. Thank you Dior Malaysia for making that possible! This is the 100ml bottle.
- Guerlain Meteorites Perles (review) – MWS or at least, Paris B is synonymous with Guerlain Meteorites, aren’t I?! I was raving about them and collecting them long before they became the de rigeur prop on Instagram LOL! I love them, and I still love them and every new tub released makes my head swivel around even as I tell myself I don’t actually need more. Thanks to Guerlain Malaysia, you will receive the special edition 30th Anniversary Meteorites, limited edition for Spring 2017. I don’t even own this one! Hmph!
- Dr. Brandt Vitamin C Power Dose serum (review) – I swear, this is the one Vitamin C serum I love and actually saw impressive results with and want to never be without! It’s so bloody effective, but expensive, so when Ken’s Apothecary, local distributors of Dr. Brandt, agreed to my request for sponsorship of this specific product, I was over the moon. You must try this and you lucky ducks will! I have to replenish very soon.
- Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lipstick (review) – Know me long enough and you’d know I love me a good, nourishing, moisturising lipstick. This one from Bobbi Brown impressed me so greatly I not only ended up buying more, I just had to let you try them in my favourite colour, Rosebud! It’s very wearable and will sit well with many people. Don’t blame me if you end up visiting the Bobbi Brown counter to add to your collection! Thank you, Bobbi Brown Malaysia!
- Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen (review) – It’s come to the stage where you shouldn’t even ask me what sunscreen I use because this is the only one I have used for years and for now, appears to be the only one I’ll ever use. If anything, I’ve become synonymous with the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen. If Shiseido reformulates it to the point that I cannot use it anymore, I will cry, I swear! Thank you Shiseido Malaysia for acceding to my request for the one product I am never without and for the product I probably help them sell the most of 😛
- Antipodes Juliet Gel Cleanser (review) – Antipodes Natural Skincare was the brand that revived my confidence in the efficacy of natural and/or organic skincare and this was one of the first products I used and enjoyed. I picked this one because I felt it to be the most universally acceptable for most skin types. It’ll last you a long while and I promise, you will love this as much as I do. Thank you to local distributor, TNS Skinlabs for kindly sponsoring this!
- L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (review) – I was very grateful that L’Occitane Malaysia agreed to sponsor this iconic product, because it is truly one every beauty buff should own or at least try. I love the texture, how it feels, how it smells, everything. It’s one I’ve used for years and will continue using for years to come when I feel like a luxury shower treat. This is the 250ml bottle.
- Caudalie Grape Water Spray (review) – If you think all facial mists or sprays are the same, know that I experienced enough difference in the Caudalie Grape Water Spray to include it in my beauty hamper. It calms my skin, cools it and helps my products and oils absorb more readily. Thank you Caudalie Malaysia and Ken’s Apothecary for being so quick to agree to my request for sponsorship. This is the 200ml large sized can.
- Stickers from Closet Planner Addict – I know how popular planners are today, and cute stickers too; so I commissioned 2 sheets of special edition MWS 10th Anniversary stickers from online sticker shop, Closet Planner Addict, and they were hand delivered all the way from Australia! They are so exclusive you won’t be able to get them anywhere else! Thank you for the hard work, Tine! If you love cute yet practical stickers for your planner, you want to check Closet Planner Addict out. Some of you may recognise the face behind the store, who is my good friend, Tine of Beautyholics Anonymous. I know that some of you have expressed to me your concerns that she’s taken a bit of a hiatus from her beauty blog, but I have spoken to her a few times and been assured that she will return. She just needs a little time to realign so don’t worry – I’ll make sure she comes back 😉
There you have it. 12 very very exclusive items to celebrate and commemorate 10 years of My Women Stuff. I wanted just 10, but it sort of grew of its own accord, and I actually had to stop adding to it or I would never be able to send it out! As it is, I’m hoarding large cardboard boxes and bubble wrap for this purpose LOL! 😀
But what you really want to know is this – HOW DO I ENTER THIS AWESOME JAW-DROPPING GIVEAWAY??
To enter here’s what you have to do:
- Leave a comment below telling me where you hail from and how you stumbled on my blog, if you remember (simply because I’m curious how far MWS reaches) ; AND

Happy 10th Anniversary, Paris!
I am a PJ girl and I stumbled upon your blog while researching some product reviews and began reading post after post and realized I love your style of writing and very neutral way of reviewing products.
My biggest personal achievemt in the past 10 years include:
1) I became a blogger myself in the last 3 years and you’re one of the few I look up to as sifu.
2) I became a part time wedding singer with friends and relatives hiring me for wedding gigs and I double up as emcee too to help them save cost. I am also the sound girl assisting newly weds with the right lovey dovey love songs played for weddings. I feel wonderful to be able to help my dear friends and relatives and be a part of their BIG day.
3) Won some contests through some hard work (wink * not just pure luck) and was able to travel to Korea in 2014, Japan in 2015 and Philippines in 2016 and the best part was I got to bring my mom to share this awesome experience with me!

Hello! Firstly, huge congrats on 10 years of blogging. I have tried my hand at blogging before, but the commitment of getting posts up regularly had taken a toll and my blog faded away , though you can still read it here: sheltiebeauties.blogspot.com
I am Malaysian , originally from KL , university student – now studying in Germany. I came across your blog when I started getting interested in makeup. I am a bit of a foundation geek I guess, and always love to find new ones to try – and I found your blog whilst looking for a review of some sort and have been a faithful follower ever since.
My biggest achievement … hmm I would say leaving home at the age of 10 and going to boarding school in the UK has really changed a lot of my perspectives on life. I love my parents and cannot imagine how hard it must have been for them to be separated from their only child so soon. However now it’s my chance to make them proud, and all I can do is work hard, and show them that their sacrifices were not in vain.
Thanks for reading, and I hope I can get a chance to win one of your parcels!

Mabuhay from Manila, Philippines! I started my beauty journey with you when I was living in Singapore (several years back)! I was starting with skin care & stumbled on your page! I totally loved it and have always wanted to blog after!
Achievement wise, it’s how I uprooted myself from a lucrative career in Singapore back to Manila – fully committed to be here for my parents. I lived in SG for 9 years and was living the good single life. In 2013, 2 weeks after my grandmother died in CNY, my dad got kidney cancer and stroke within 2 weeks of each other. In a span of 1 month, everything just changed. My dad became half paralyzed and it was struggle for my mom. It was then the big decision to move back and support my family. Big adjustment from living a very comfortable life in SG to struggles in Manila (from caregiver support, to things like horrendous traffic, 60% pay cut, personal goals set aside and a whole lot more). It was the biggest thing I have done in my life and I have no regrets. My parents are stable now – my dad still paralyzed but I get to come home every night & kiss him good night on the forehead. And my mom is also happier! Worth all the sacrifice!

Hi, first of all a huge congratulation on completing 10 successful years of blogging I am a silent reader of your blog I have been following it since 2011 I found your blog through Google search ( that is how I find most of the blogs ) I do not remember exactly what product review I was searching for but your review came out I liked the indepth review and your writing style so I went through some older posts on your blog I found that I have similar skin type like you and you reviewed a lot of skin care products which is my favorite thing I am a skin care junkie so I subscribed to it 🙂
For the past few years my mother’s her health has not been good she also had a road accident which caused a lot of muscle injuries which has effected her ability to do daily chores so I have been taking care of her and our home I know some people do not understand it they say I should have worked and achieved something professionally but for me this is more important I am happy that I am taking care of her and making her life easy seeing her happy and satisfied is something I consider my biggest achievement in life 🙂

Hello Paris. Happy 10th anniversary to you and your blog.
Hmm, I couldn’t recall how I ended up at your blog. Most probably via Google search. I’ve been reading your blog for (+/-) 5 years. I’ve always enjoyed reading your blog and you always temper your forthrightness with kindness.
I have few achievements on my list. One of the best lessons I learn in life is to absolutely honest with myself in order to be a better version version of myself. My dad says, “You are your own greatest enemy. Learn to overcome it.” I couldn’t agree more.
Another achievement on my list is to master how to remain calm in the midst of chaos and challenges. IMO, it’s one of the hardest lesson in life besides being absolutely honest with myself. I’m still learning and have a long way to go. However, I got better at it over the years.
I took a leap of faith last year – I left the corporate world and decided to take some risks. I set up and opened my online shop. I view it as accomplishment because it was a massive challenge that required acquiring knowledge and understanding of something foreign and being able to combine all resources and information into what was required to set up, open, maintain and manage my online shop. Success is about setting out a goal, and then pursuing it. Whether I achieve or not is irrelevant, to a certain extent. It is the process, the growing pains. It takes a brave person to set out a goal and go after it.
Next, I find more happiness by letting go. Letting go gives me freedom and freedom is the condition to happiness. Instead of filling my heart with anger and hatred, I fill it with love and kindness. I stopped trying to fix an asshole. It doesn’t matter how unpleasant other people are to me; I’m NOT obliged to respond to their behavior. Be kind, and let assholes be assholes. They can’t be fixed.
I have my own (small) animal rescue. I realized I couldn’t change the world and people in it overnight. Instead, I’ve decided to be the change myself. Maybe what I’m doing doesn’t make a big difference in the world, but to the kitty, it means the world. And that makes me very happy.
Relationship wise, it has been a long journey with my beloved. We’ve been through thick and thin together for 2 decades and still counting. With my parents, I do my best to be a better daughter. I’m blessed to have them in my life.
All in all, achievement is a matter of perspective. I feel that my greatest achievement has yet to come. I always look to achieve more tomorrow than I did today and I strive to improve myself all the time. A good life is when I assume nothing, do more, desire less, smile more, dream big, laugh a lot and realize how blessed I am for what I already have. Life is awesome.

Hi Paris!!! Omg it’s been 10 years!! I remember when I was reading your blogs in secondary school! Okok to answer the questions:
1: born and bred Malaysian from Subang Jaya Selangor. I stumbled upon your blog because I was a teen with a love for beauty products and your reviews were just so different and it stuck with me till today!!
2: my biggest achievement was that I went to Korean. ALONE and stayed there for a while. And of course able to see you in person!!

Hi!
I’m from Russia, but living in Germany.
My biggest achievement is probably the fact that I have overcome a lot of difficulties and made myself an entrepreneur in a foreign country, where I came knowing no one and with almost no money. Not that I am super rich and famous now, but the foundation is solid and I can enjoy life. Have lots of new friends, people who trust me and my little business. Was not always a smooth sailing, and there are sure storms ahead, but for now I am proud of myself 🙂
I have discovered your blog about a year ago when I installed the app Bloglovin on my iPhone. I am into skin care and make up and was looking for interesting blogs on this topic. Yours came up and I am a subscriber since then.
You write about stuff that really works in a world where so many others are superficially covering the latest and the newest but totally forgettable and unremarkable releases.
And you are witty and, as far as I can tell from reading your blog, a very cool person, which totally shines through in your posts.
Congratulations with your anniversary and wish you many more successful years for the blog and beyond!
Cheers from Berlin!

Congratulations Paris on 10 years of wonderful blogging!
1. I’m from South Korea but consider myself American as well, being born there. I started reading your blog in early 2012, I believe, although I don’t remember how I came upon it… It could have been because I was searching for Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, having heard about them from a friend, and came upon a review of yours. By any means, I devoured probably most of your posts up to that point and have stuck around ever since.
2. My biggest personal achievement would be having a baby in a foreign country and taking care of it full time, without the help of family other than my partner. Many’s the time I’ve beat myself up for deciding to move away from all family before starting my own! Still, baby is happy and healthy two years on, so I’ll count that as an achievement–and an ongoing process.
Here’s to you PB and many more years of MWS. I wish you the best.

I can’t remember exactly, it may have been a reference on another blog 🙂
Achievements … being married for 17 years, my lovely daughter, setting up my own blog ….
Congratulations!!! All the best for the next thing. Whatever it is

Hello Paris B,
I live in Sherman Oaks, California, USA. I came across your blog 3 years ago on the internet, read a post of yours and have been a fan ever since. I enjoy your blog for it is like speaking frankly to a friend in a down-to-earth and honest manner. My greatest achievement in the past 10 years that I have been juggling self-employment, helping with our family business and raising children is learning to accept life’s challenges, to be happy in the moment and to make time to take care of myself too. Congratulations on your 10 years!

I forget how I found your blog, either through the /r/asianbeauty subreddit or I Instagram. My biggest personal achievement in the last 10 years was to go back to school to get my Master of Art degree in International Relations.

Congratulations again for making it to 10 years & for the years to come! I’m originally from the Philippines but I’m here in KL because of work. I’ve come across to your blog because I was searching about red lipsticks & stumbled upon your blog. At that time, I wasn’t courageous enough to wear red lipsticks or a regular lipstick for that matter but then when I saw your recommendation for the Shiseido RS 329 shade & purchased it & I have loved lipsticks ever since. You can say that I’m a lipstick convert!
As for my personal achievement, I cannot believe that my siblings are successfull now! They even thanked me for the things I sacrificed for them. Coz back then, my mom died when I was 14 & we didn’t have anybody to guide us & looking back, those decisions & discipline that I did have shaped them to what they are today. I guess you can call that as delayed gratification & if I turn back time, I wouldn’t change a thing because it was totally worth it!

I`m Iris from Singapore and my greatest achievements for the past 10 years is looking younger and healthier than before every year.
By adopting a positive mindset and taking great care of oneself physically and mentally, I believe every woman in whichever age bracket would still look absolutely stunning and awesome.
Age is just a number!

Kopivosian doungosuvab, Paris! That’s Good Morning in Kadazan Language. I’m Aileen from Kota Kinabalu, a silent reader for many years. I chanced upon your blog when I was looking for recommendations on makeup many years ago!Back then, I was an auditor with meager salary and was asked to put on a little bit of makeup. Love your honest reviews on skincare and makeup.
My greatest achievement to date is being able to work a full time job in a managerial position and ensuring that my husband and toddler has home cooked meals everyday and being able to bounce back from post partum depression when my baby was born premature at 32 weeks.
Thank you for blogging and I look forward to many more articles and reviews from you!

Im originall from Kuching, Sarawak but moved to the US 2 yrs ago. I have been following your blog for years to create my wishlist of things to buy when i visit KL. (there was no sephora yet while i was living in kuching). Thanks to you i discover my HG Guerlain meteorites. You’re still my fav blogger due to your honest reviews.

I’m from Kuching, Sarawak and I came upon your blog via a friend’s recommendation! 🙂
My greatest achievement is probably being able to do what I love now, which is write full time. The work doesn’t pay very well (yet – fingers crossed!) and people kind of still think of me as being jobless because I don’t go to a brick and mortal place to go work, but I don’t have to answer to horrible bosses, play office politics, and earn enough to pay the bills plus a little extra for my own enjoyment.
Happy 10 years blogging! ^^

Hi Paris! I’m from Nilai, Negeri Sembilan and stumbled upon your blog a few years back when I was looking for a product review, and after that your blog has become a trusted source for me to find more information about a product (or anything beauty related, really).
My greatest achievement is finally getting a degree and starting to love and care for myself. I’m pretty well prepared for the appearance part, and now I’m trying to improve my health. Cheers for the 10 years of dedication to blogging! What an achievement!

Hi Paris,i am from Muar , Johor.
I first read your blog long ago and I believe that I got your giveaway back in 2008 for Majolica Majorca eyeshadow green color. This is why your blog always meant something special to me as I never have luck in any lucky draw or lottery etc. Your giveaway make me feel so special and just special at that moment when I am very low.
And what have I accomplish in 10 years, from general clerk when I started reading your blog, now in term of career I am in much better place that buying EL ANR no longer an issue. And your 10yrs post and this giveaways just reminded me that how far I have come. It might be coincidence but I now at similar situation back then, at low valley and ignoring myself or skincare with excuses of busy. But reading your blog again today, somehow just give me energy to start over again. If there is will, I will regain my beauty again.
Emmmm , this kinda weird message that I left but it is what in my mind now. Wish you be here for another 10 year and stay beautiful.

I thought this would be the year that I wouldn’t mention that I found your blog because of Bobbi Brown BB cream, as I’m from Puebla, Mexico; the only way to find about BB creams was reading international blogs, specially Asians ones.
I think my biggest achieve during these ten years has been learning a lot and not stopping to doing it, the last three and a half years for me were the time I learnt a lot about myself but also to understand better the world. So I hope I always get to learn more.
Thank for the giveaway Paris!

Ten years aka a Decade, also to some is comparable to a Milestone or benchmark in her life. Whatever you deem it, ten years is definitely not a short journey of time, let alone blogging and more, blogging about skincare and the likes which drawn and is still drawing both the ‘awe” and “wow” factors from a person skincare junkie like me . Hats off to you, Paris in your resilience, tenacity and dedication to your blogs . In tooting my own horn, i could just as well sum up a few overriding awe and wow factors of you and your blogs which came flowing right now right here (though there are lots more to top up if we are meant to meet if destiny permitted);
Like many of your readers, i stumbled upon your blog when googling for a product . I was tremendously impressed not by the informations given but guess what, its your command of English and its writing. Gosh, i remembered i was holding breadth to read till the end of the article back then and even sometime these days i could still read and couldnt hide my exhilarations on the refined writings of yours. Sometimes later , i had found out you were avid reader of books guess wide reading has the impact on your writings too and this is one thing that i will not hesistate to instill in my kids .
Of the greatest achievement, I had learnt a long way to be more open and less critical of myself, other and life in general. Letting go is the key word in my mindset and life right now, yes, that will apply even if i dont get the giveaway this time.
Congratulations again on your milestone, Dear. Looking forward to many many returns of nicely write ups and reviews from the Maestro of Skincare Blog. Bravo!
